Raw Chocolate Oat Cookies

Snacks

21 May

I actually got this recipe from a blogger about a year ago. She has since retired from blogging 🙁 so I can’t give her a shout out. Actually, I also found it while googling, so I think it’s pretty well known already!

These “cookies” are amazing – and amazingly easy!!!

You only need 4 ingredients. Then, mix, form and eat!

Gluten Free Raw Cookies Recipe

Ingredients: oats, raw almond butter, agave or maple syrup, cocoa powder

I used stuff I had on hand, but did make a special trip to TJ’s for the raw almond butter.

Foodies 1889

Recipe:

1/2 c oats

1/2 c raw almond butter

1/3 c agave nectar OR maple syrup

1/4 c cocoa powder

Instructions :

1. Mix all the ingredients together.  2. Form into cookies.  3. Freeze for 30 minutes (or refrigerate for 4 hours).  4. Enjoy!

These can be kept in the fridge for a few days, but they never last that long!  Foodies 1905

I added a dash of salt and used an agave/maple syrup blend this time. Love it!

Looks great! I bet you could do that with PB too.

Those definitely look like a healthier version of what we in Michigan call “no-bake cookies”. This is that version:

    1 stick butter
    2 cups sugar
    1/4 cup cocoa
    1/2 cup milk

You mix that on the stove-top, let it boil for 1 minute then add in 1 cup PB.
Then after that add in 2-3 cups of oatmeal. They look just like that when done, but they harden, which I’m assuming those probably don’t.

Anyway, just wanted to come out of lurking to mention that. Again, your recipe is a lot healthier 🙂

Was it me? 🙂 I love those! I definitely jacked them from someone else, though, I forget who. My fiance eats the mixture with a spoon. Like all of it. It’s disgusting.
