Pre-run fuel: half this Maple Nut Clif bar. I am trying out different foods to see what works best for me.
Today was a long run … 15miles long! I was dying toward the end because it is so hot today. Luckily I took my water pack and refilled it twice at a park I pass by. (I also went pee one time for anyone who cares.) I did a 5 mile loop (that I regularly run) 3 times. That got super boring though 🙁 I need to find a new route for my long runs because I don’t run with music and I get bored after 12 miles. It’s funny, I can run about 12 miles without getting bored at all and anything past that I just am waiting to be done.
When I was almost back I called the BF to walk towards me so I could finish up with him, but he suggested we go to the store since he had no breakfast food. That added about 15 minutes of a walk at the end. So, I pretty much did a lot today.

Yeah, I was thinking about eating a whole bar but was scared because I hadn’t tried it before. Half of this sat fine with me, but I did have a little bit of discomfort towards the end – nothing that stopped me completely though. But, that could of been for a number of different reasons. I will def try a whole bar soon.
Yeah, I am really weird about the music thing. I just feel like there is too much going on then. But, I am finally considering getting something because I am going to go crazy.

clif bars are also my pre-run snacks but i go up to a full bar over 10 miles. i think the full bar it really helps on the longer runs!!! but i make sure i eat it at least an hour before hand.
in terms of boredom….i can’t believe you don’t listen to music!!!! i would die without it. however, i’m probably doing a marathon in the spring where ipods aren’t allowed and i’m not sure what i’m going to do.
