Thanks for all the shout outs about the POTM Challenge! I really appreciate it. Even though I am training for my first marathon, running is still hard! I don’t take any mile for granted. Even when you build up stamina for long runs it doesn’t get any easier to get out of bed!
Morning all and happy Tuesday! Today I did 4 miles. My legs felt super dead 🙁 I think I need an extra rest day this week because my legs are not feeling any better than yesterday. Boo. This is frustrating because I already take 2 rest days from running a week. I know some of the training plans I researched do give you a 3rd rest day every 2 or 3 weeks, so maybe this is normal.
One of the most important ways to prevent injuries is to listen to your body, so I may have to take tomorrow off. I will let ya know. If that’s the case I better suck it up and get to the gym to do something else.
My marathon is Feb 1st. Ahhh! It’s in Huntington Beach, CA not too far from where I live.
