Show me your blubes!

Today was supposed to be a speed work day, but speed work and repeats are super hard for me – which is why I never do them! I know I need to start working on this so I made a compromise. Instead of the crazy 1 mile repeats my training plan called for I did some fartek work. I did speed up a couple of my miles at least 🙂

I’m not going into work today so I can spend the day with my Mom and Matt. I am going to be super sad when they leave, I’m already dreading it. So, after my run I dropped Ben off at work so I could have the car today. By the time I got back it was well over an hour since I’d returned from my run. I try to eat within 30 minutes of a run to restore glycogen. I hope I don’t pay for this on my next run!

Show me your blubes! These are mine:DSCN0978

I made a big yogurt bowl with this granola. They were selling individual bags of it at the store for $.50 each. Since I love granola, but have problems with portion control I thought this was perfect!DSCN0969

I love granola and yogurt 🙂DSCN0970

After I took the pictures I realized my bowl was missing something – Peanut Butter. This bowl better keep me full for a long time –  it’s way over 600 calories!DSCN0980Please don’t forget to comment on my Hunger post. How does your body tell you you’re hungry???

I actually love speed work. It really makes a huge difference in my other runs and makes me a stronger, faster runner. I encourage you to not skip those speed sessions! 😉

I love blueberrries! I’m going to be so sad when they’re out of season. Good for you for still working out when you didn’t feel like it. At least you did something and that’s all that matters. Enjoy the time with your family!

    I started a blog and I hope you’ll check it out! melissanibbles.blogspot.com
