Six Signs you’re not in California any more:
6. You think a little snow is nothing an umbrella can’t solve…
News flash – the snow flies up into your face umbrella or not.

5. You leave the house with a smile because you have no idea how fast the cold will get to your bones. (You won’t be smiling for long in 15 degree weather.)

4. You think Ben is Santa Claus because he now has a white beard.

3. You’re not in California anymore…Proof: There is no Pacific Ocean, only ICE.

2. You can’t find your car. It might be under there some where, but do you really want to dig through a foot of snow of five different cars before you find your own?!

1. And the number one sign you’re not in California anymore… You put on more clothes to leave the house than you wore all summer last year combined!
So, Ben and I did brave walking to the mall today. It was actually really beautiful 🙂
Unfortunately, most of the stores (except the deptartment stores) were closed. We did find Panera open for a snack – I had a bite of this gingerbread bagel with cream cheese 🙂
When we got home I made a big salad…
and had a bite of Ben’s ravioli.
Since we are snowed in I thought it was a perfect time for baking! But, I didn’t know what to make. I wanted to use up some canned pumpkin I had so I mixed up pumpkin, eggs, spices and sugar to make individual pumpkin desserts. They are a cross between a soufle and a pie.
They came apart when I tried to scoop them out of the cupcake pan. I should have used indivual baking cups, but you live and learn.
I also made banana bites. I love throwing things together and making yummy stuff.
All you need are bananas, chocolate chips and walnuts.
I melted the choc chips, smashed up the walnuts and chopped the naner. Then, dip, dip and freeze. So easy! Now eat 🙂
See ya guys later 🙂
Needed to compose you one very little note just to thank you so much once again for your remarkable solutions you have contributed at this time. It’s certainly extremely open-handed of you to make without restraint what many people could possibly have marketed as an e book in order to make some dough on their own, chiefly considering the fact that you could possibly have tried it in the event you decided. The good ideas likewise worked like the great way to fully grasp that other people have a similar interest the same as my personal own to know the truth somewhat more with reference to this issue. I’m sure there are millions of more enjoyable sessions ahead for people who scan your website.
I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
Great work! This is the type of info that should be shared around the web. Shame on Google for not positioning this post higher! Come on over and visit my website . Thanks =)
Salut chers lecteurs que pensez-vous de mon nouveau site sur l’ immobilier ?
I think this is among the most significant info for me. And i am glad reading your article. But want to remark on few general things, The web site style is great, the articles is really excellent : D. Good job, cheers
Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
An interesting dialogue is price comment. I believe that it’s best to write more on this topic, it won’t be a taboo subject however generally individuals are not enough to talk on such topics. To the next. Cheers
You must be a part of a contest for one of the best sites on the web. I’m going to highly recommend it all site!
Haha! I definitely thought you could use an umbrella too! Not so…
Also those banana bites look fantastic!

Ha so when I was in college on the east coast and was in snow for the first time, I asked people why no one used umbrellas. It made perfect sense to me to use one when stuff falls from the sky. I got a lot of “you crazy Cali girl” looks and laughs, but at least now I know why that doesn’t work. This post brough back memories…snow is SO strange if you’re not used to it
that is so much snow!!! and those banana bites look so yummy 2 bad I am a horrible baker or I would make some!
The banana bites look so tasty!
I hear you with the snow-we got 23 inches over in PA!
Oh my gosh look at that snow! Those pictures are too funny! 🙂
I love this post!! Stay warm 🙂
The snow is so pretty! Looks like you and Ben had fun. I love your blog – I feel like we’re so much alike.
Banana bites!! I need to try making those. Do you melt the chocolate and then let it harden?
I’m glad you got out to play in the snow. I think it’s so pretty….when I don’t have to drive anywhere!
Looks like you made the most out of the snow day. I don’t even get off the couch!
oh man, you make me never want to leave ca and move to snow. haha.
i want everything you baked today.
You say “now eat” so does that mean you’re inviting me to your house to eat them? lol. I’m too lazy to make stuff myself 🙁 haha. that umbrella idea was pretty genius. That would have been awesome if it worked!
I just went back up and looked at the food pictures again and now I’m really wanting to eat! It’s almost 11pm, I should not be wanting to pig out this late 🙁
mmmmmmmm banana bites. definitely a good thing in a snow storm 🙂 and youre getting me worried about when the storm hits me!!
Yeah, definitely not what it looks like out here in so cal. But I would like to make a snowman!
Those banana/walnut/chocolate things sound amazing!
To make you feel a little bit better about Maryland winters, the last time we got a snow like this was about 5-6 years ago. We usually only get 5 or so inches when it snows. It may be good to invest in a broom to brush off your car 🙂
Those banana bites sound soooo good
Yummmmmmmmmmm! Banana bites are my friend. You and Ben are friggin cute.
aww that is soo much snow! looks like you are making the best out of it tho!
I’m sorry you’re not in California anymore 🙁 I don’t know what I would do with all that snow!!
