Hello! How’s it going? I made a delicious Spring Sangria yesterday and wanted to share. Well, not literally share the sangria, just the recipe…
First let’s talk running and eating…
Running. Check.
Eating. Check check.
Pro tip: Saturdays should be Donut Saturday from now on! I’m going to tweet Obama and see if we can make this happen…
I’m pretty sure that’s how a Bill becomes a Law…but my AP History is a little rusty.
Now I’m enjoying bean dip and some Toufayan gluten free pita chips. Love it.
It’s Spring! Since I live in southern California it’s kind of always Spring or Summer here. So, I’m not excited about the weather change as much as I’m excited for Spring and Summer fruits to come into season.
I picked up these ingredients and threw together a super easy, delicious sangria.
Spring Sangria Recipe
Ingredients: 1 bottle rose, 1/2 cup Grand Marnier, 1 each chopped: apple, pear and orange.
Combine ingredients and let chill for an hour or overnight (I did overnight).
Serves 2 normal people or one Monican.*
Drink. Outside. Repeat
*Okay, Recipe is NOT actually for one person. No, not even you Cindy… Please drink responsibly.
Note: I wasn’t sure how to categorize this recipe so I put it under “Snacks”. That works, right?
(Dress via Aventura / Merona sandals.)
I love using Sangria as a ‘recovery’ after a run!
I just woke up this morning in Chicago to snow everywhere and I can barely see the buildings outside! This is not acceptable.
Brrrrrr! Stay warm Erin!!
LOVE IT; but I usually like it with a red like Beaujolais (sp?)
Yeah, did we even have a winter here? About six days, if you can even call it that. My half-zips and jackets are crying to be worn! 🙁
#socalproblems
I bought two pairs of boots online that I never wore! And I have no idea what fancy B word you are trying to say… ha!
Hi! Just checking out your blog! Love your sangria recipe; I agree, spring weather means it’s time to drink sangria outside!
I’m rebranding my blog and trying to get new followers. I have tons of great, healthy recipes on my hungrymountaineer blog and now you can follow my page on Facebook too! I would love it if you would check out my page and blog when you can! And please share with friends if you like what you see!
We are just getting into autumn … but we’ve still been having pretty warm days (about 28C or 82F) which I’m enjoying! Our summer weather usually holds out until Easter, so hopefully we have a couple more nice weeks in store for us yet.
When I left my house for my long run this morning it was 27* feels like 12*
You suck Michigan!!!
Sangria, not a fan.
gluten free pita chips?! I’m in!!
it was snowing earlier, and we are to get about 4 inches of snow tomorrow 🙁
I love sangria. I live in Minnesota so spring doesn’t start until around July 4 and winter starts around Labor Day.
Love sangria!!! Super pumped it’s close to patio and sangria weather here. I’m so ready for it!
Our “spring” weather this morning in Chicago is 33 degrees 🙁 I cannot wait until it’s warm enough to wear sandals!
Looks like a yummy recipe! I love sangria, and that dress looks great on you!
i want to eat that donut right now.
I love sangria, can’t wait to try!
Also, I worked In DC on the hill for a while. The tweeting is an excellent method for real government attention.
Ahhhh! That is very cool. I have always idealized working in DC… was it awesome?
Love sangria! As a matter of fact last night I went to dinner with friends at a Portuguese restaurant and I had lots of it! This stuff was good but so expensive $30 a pitcher! Needless to say my $20 salmon cost me $67 by the time the check came. Lol. Frozen mango also tastes great on warmer days in addition to the apple and pear.
I love sangria! It has been spring weather in Michigan. I am waiting for the temperature to get above 40 degrees, but after seeing Tina’s post on Carrots ‘N’ Cake I am just excited it isn’t snowing. 🙂
Seriously! She sent me pics of her snowy run this weekend and I was like, “no thanks!”.
