Stitch Fix Fashion Review #something

Fitness Fashion· Fun

17 Feb

Hello! I’m in Minneapolis today visiting General Mills! I wrote this on the plane over… if you don’t hear from me again assume I froze to death – it’s ONE degree!

This is another Stitchfix fashion review. but alternate titles include:

Super Awkward Fashion Blog

or

Your Monican can only do a running pose and weird stuff.

Anyway. Here is my latest StitchFix haul…

StitchFix Review # Something

1. Wrap Dress. Perfect size. Like the color. But, I’m not a big wrap dress / a-line dress kinda girl so I’m not sure if I’d actually wear it.

fashion blog stitchfi review 17 (600x800)

But, this dress has pockets – I know a lot of you dig that!

2. Green top. Love that it goes perfect with this jade bracelet I got in China. Love the color and high-lo cut.

fashion blog stitchfi review 15 (600x800)

It is a good length. When tops are too long and hit me at the widest part of my hips it can make me look wider.

fashion blog stitchfi review 16 (600x800)

This is where this fashion post goes down hill…

3. Blue top.

“Yeah, silky top…I love blue…I love yoooooouuuuu….” – Monican singing the blues (top). {twirls}

4. Pattern collar top. I like the design on this one, but it’s a little too big. I doubt it’s going to shrink. I kind of want to buy it and give it to someone because it’s comfy and cute.

fashion blog stitchfi review 9 (600x800)

5. Blue and orange block top.

Me, acting totally normal walking… Winking smile

fashion blog stitchfi review 7 (600x800)

Then, I said I wanted to do a picture jumping. When my photographer (in this case Ben) said ‘okay’ I decided I needed to do this to warm up for a bit five minutes…

fashion blog stitchfi review 4 (600x800)

Okay. Ready to jump!

fashion blog stitchfi review 2 (600x800)

The end.

I like the wrap dress, green top and blue/orange tank. But you get a 20% discount when you buy all 5 items Stitchfix sends so I’m going to do the math and see if I should just keep it all.

I’m happy with my stylist even though I haven’t been keeping everything she picks out. I think we’re getting to know each other and every delivery is more and more me.

Money saving tip: You only save money on something on sale if you actually need it! Hello Monican hint hint.

Check out Stitchfix if you want to get in on a knock at your door with a package of clothes. I love Stitchfix delivery day!!

Question: What do you think? Should I keep all of it? Send it all back?

Wear a paper bag? Or maybe a reusable shopping bag because I care about the environment??

What I have learned…. The best way to double your money, is fold it up and put it back in your pocket. 🙂 I tend to do that a LOT! (that’s probably why I don’t have any good looking clothes) 😉 😉

Love all the pieces but I have to say, while I was trying to get a good look at the blue silky top the mom in me wanted to say “Monica stand still!”…lol I vote to keep them all. The dress is so cute.

I like the blue top and the blue/orange top but definitely think you should wear a reusable grocery bag because that sounds like the best alternative to me! 😉

I love the blue silky top, green top, and purple and orange top! You look like you were having the best time in those ones too =) I am a big fan of dressing outside my comfort zone once in a while, but I do think the majority of the pieces you invest in should be super versatile and highly useful!

Love them all! But especially #4 pattern collar top! Hard to tell from the pic that its too big but I agree with a commenter above, see if you can get it altered to fit, or gift it and take all the style credit 😉

I like 4 out of 5 of them and the one out of 5 I don’t even really hate, so I would just say to get all of them. I like the colors on you; I am so lazy when it comes to clothes shopping and end up with white, gray, and black clothes all the time. When I looked in my closet this morning it was a sea of gray.

Keep all of it! You are adorable, and the wrap dress will come in handy…easy to pack.
Go to a taylor if you need something altered…worth it. Perfect time to do a wardrobe update/after our long winter(wink) and you didn’t waste your time shopping or gas going to the mall.
