Hello! How’s it going? Being a blogger I get a lot of packages and deliveries every day. But few make me as excited as a new Stitchfix delivery! I love it!
It’s so exciting to see what my stylist thinks will look good on me and be something I like. So, here is my latest StitchFix Fashion Haul…
1. Ernesto Striped Fitted Dress
I dig fitted dresses because even though I can be self conscious about certain thicker parts of my body, I think it’s better just to have clothes streamlined, like seen on Women’s Clothing Online. Wearing baggy clothes over your bigger areas just makes them look bigger.
Rucching is normally my favorite thing since it’s slimming. But I feel like the fabric on this is a little too much from the side.
Can’t decide.
2 & 3. Stelli Embellished Knit Tank and Polka Dot High Waisted Cropped Pant
The tank is super cute and comfy! Up close the pants have a subtle polka dot pattern that I love. But, they are supposed to be cropped and they aren’t on me. I’m 5’6.5 – it’s not like I’m super short so I don’t know how tall I’d have to be to have these look properly cropped. Oh well. The pattern was cute.
Sending back.
4. Kalie Bleached Denim Jacket
My first jean jacket! I’m excited!! This is super comfy. Dig it.
Kept.
I hope LC would approve.
5. Montgomery Chevron Cross-Front Top.
This style and cut is super not me. My boobs don’t fill out the cross-front style and it’s too office-y for someone that works from home (in yoga pants).
Sending back.

I’ve read most of your stitch fix reviews and I absolutely love that you go with form fitting dresses. They look amazing on you.
Took me years to realize that baggy clothes make me look bigger and trust me, you rock it. Your calves are to die for!!
runeatrepeat says
Thank you. Really appreciate that, especially today <3

That dress looks great on you, though I can see how all the ruching on that one side could feel bulky. (BTW, you have killer legs! The definition in those heels is pretty awesome.)
I’m at work, so leggings and a long shirt with super comfy wedges; dress code is business casual, i.e. not jeans and t-shirts.

I agree with you on fitted things. Loose, baggy things look even worse because they leave too much to the imagination! 🙂
Kyla says
I’m super comfy in lace bottom pajama shorts and a fleece lined zip up!
Gretchen | Gretchruns says
I think the first dress would look better if it was a solid color. With the ruching and the stripes it’s just a bit too much going on! I really like the tank and jean jacket though!
Julie says
I was totally going to say keep the dress; it looks great on you! But after reading Gretchen’s comment, I scrolled back up & looked at the pic again, & I think she may be right… too much going on.
Erin @ Erin's Inside Job says
Im wearing a robe over my shirt and yoga pants bc I am really cold. Trust me, it looks pretty awesome.
Amanda @ Slimplify Life says
I’d love to be the neighbor across the street, watching someone do a selfie photo shoot and great poses. Why can’t my next door neighbors be doing a stitch fix review right now?!

i was too lazy to properly back my gym (yoga) bag this morning so i’m wearing an office closet outfit- basic black heels, grey sheath dress, navy sweater, hair in bun (ie unwashed 😉 kinda boring! it was this or smelly 5-yrs old lululemon crops 🙂

If you loved those pants, I would totally have cuffed them to make them actually cropped. So cute! Also, you rock that denim jacket!
Flower says
That dress is really cut from the front but when you turn to the side it almost gave me a migraine. All the lines just sort of went rogue.
I spend 85% of my time in running clothes or pajamas and the other 15% wishing I was IN running clothes or pajamas.
Flower says
I meant cute, not cut. It’s not my fault, I’m in business clothes and I cannot function!

Wearing jeans and a blue butterfly tee shirt. My work’s dress code is pretty much: cover your naughty bits and don’t wear a tee-shirt that would offend people. Yay video games!
Love the patterns on the dress and shirt, but if you don’t love how they fit, you probably won’t get wear out of them. I have that problem all the time, and I usually have to take my husband shopping with me because he’ll be honest and not let me buy something that I just fall in love with on the hanger that doesn’t look good on.
Sally @ sweat out the small stuff says
I am wearing a jean jacket with a floral sleeveless top underneath and cargo capris that only go just below my knee 🙂 and my Brooks ghost sneakers because my feet hurt. Lol.
Hannah @ Will Run For Coffee says
I just got these shoes!! So far, so good 🙂
Hannah @ Will Run For Coffee says
I’m at work, so am wearing a blue and white striped dress which has a mustard-yellow collar. I’m wearing my mustard-yellow Converse trainers too, because I am a rebel (I have smart shoes stashed under my desk if the need arises).
I’ll be home in two hours and immediately in my slobbing clothes!
Bobbie says
Funny enough, I’m wearing a red and white striped shirt I got in my last stitch fix. I have that chevron top that you’re sending back and I love it. Funny how things fit everyone differently and tastes are different. I actually think it looks good on you but you need to feel good in what you’re wearing so sending it back is probably the right move.
I think the dress is a keeper too! 🙂
Sue says
I thought the Chevron top looks good on her too. Monica – you should consider keeping it 🙂
Caitlin says
I don’t think the ruching is too much from the side on the first dress, I think you should keep it!
Jenn @ Fairest Run of All says
Totally agreed on fitted clothes being better – and totally agreed that the ruching is too much! (Gold standard is a Converse One Star dress I got from Target last year. Target FTW!)
Paige says
I love the denim jacket. It’s easy to throw over tops that are a little too revealing for certain situations and over sundresses when it’s cold in restaurants/buildings.
I feel ya on the cropped pants. I’m 5’1″ so cropped pants for me are OUT. On me, they are more puddles than crops! 🙂
