Strength Workout Back in California

Cross Training

Hello! I had a late flight last night from FL to CA. It was a long one, but I am happy to be home. I’m proud of myself because I remembered a request from a friend for a FL mug. I snagged one at the airport last minute!

florida mug (450x800)

I packed a lot of snacks and bought the wifi on the plane to get work done. I am more productive on a plane than anywhere else. Maybe it’s because the internet costs $30.00??!?!!

My dad is the best and picked me up at LAX at 11pm last night – in the RAIN. Apparently, when I left town El Nino decided to show up. It is so rainy here. That’s weird. What do I do? I need one of those contraptions people use to block the rain from the sky. Do they sell those here?

This morning I decided to give my broken toe a rest from running and do some strength exercises at home. Vegas spotted me.

I really missed doing strength exercises when I was out of town! I should get a one day pass at the gym a couple times a week when I’m there.

I made up this strength routine to hit all the bases that wanted hitting this morning – legs, arms, abs…

And now I need to get to the store because all I have in the house is cereal and beer. And I don’t even drink beer!

Question: What’s your workout today?

Yes, fitness is sooooo much about innovation! after all it is just not realistic for most people to trek down to a gym 3 times a week with our super hectic lifestyles today. Love this post so much I am going the send it to all my PT clients.

Sort of strange, but I’m sad I’m missing El NiƱo! I moved right before it hahah. Now I’m just in winter ā˜¹ļø

My workout was a 4 mile hike with my sisters dogs this morning, and then joined a gym and ran, rowed, stairclimber, weights….. Yeah. Pretty okay!

I got in 30 minutes on the elliptical, then dashed out to make it to my son’s swim meet in time…only the meet is tomorrow. Oops. Was going to go back to the gym and do some weight training, but I feel yucky, so it’s a night in for me. Glad you got home safely. Cereal and beer: breakfast of champions!

I like the workout you made up! I’m going to it tonight! I ran 3 miles today, and then ran with my dog for another mile. He thought we were in a race and wanted to spring the entire time! Glad you made it home safely!

I have flown a number of times but our last trip home from Florida was crazy with turbulence!!! I honestly never knew what people meant by a bad flight due to turbu…..now I do.

(We flew into MPLS. at 11:30PM) Hope your flight was better than mine.

I know the rain here is pretty crazy. There was a tornado warning yesterday in San Diego!! Pretty sore from yesterday but still planning on doing something today just not sure what considering I can barely walk or move for that matter! Lol

I worked out where I teach here in Chicago and got in a quick 45 min HIIT workout. Yesterday was butt and legs day and I went super high on the weight so I needed to tone it down a bit today. Glad you got home safely. Don’t get washed away!
