Success is how you handle the setbacks

I was struck by this quote today and loved it so much I wrote myself a note and posted it on my computer:IMG_1913

I feel like I am always hitting setbacks lately and I get so discouraged and frustrated. But, I should be getting motivated, working smarter & harder, staying positive and thinking of a new plan instead of getting frustrated. This note came at a time when I really needed it and I am moving forward toward my goals. Woo-hoo!

Lunch was the leftover tuna from yesterday in a wrap with carrots and a honey crisp  apple.IMG_1904

I had buyer’s remorse after buying this baby ($$$), but as I ate it, I realized it is totally worth it.IMG_1907

I also had this bag of pita chips – I was craving something salty. I meant to only have a few, but who am I kidding?IMG_1908

Dessert – I picked these Godiva pearls up at the airport for a sweet treat on the plane. Love them. IMG_1909

In the News – are toe nails unnecessary?? Supposedly some ultra-mary runners are having their toe nails surgically removed!

Um, no thanks.

CNN – My hometown of Pico Rivera, CA is featured on “Latino in America” a CNN special on tonight. They mention the city is 92% Hispanic. That’s where I’m from, I am for real.

Love honey crisp apples! I watched a movie called “Running on the Sun.” It’s about the 135 mile Badwater race. A few people in the movie said they had their nails removed so they didn’t have to worry about them anymore. I couldn’t bare to watch them show closeups!

So funny you posted this. I just Tweeted something along the same line. Setbacks are such a part of life, but mostly when you’re trying to move forward. If you don’t take risks, you never have to to deal with the rejection. You also don’t learn how to be resourceful and confident. =)
