Sweat Session

I bring the term “sweat session” to a whole new level when I run in humidity. I think my body was just made for dry heat because humidity makes me sweat gush water at an alarming rate.

I’m embarrassed as I run by people flinging sweat to and fro 🙁

Word of advice: If you see me running toward you cross to the other side of the street. It’s gross. I didn’t capture it well on this picture, but my profuse sweat made my shirt see-through. I apologize to the public for that.IMG_8562

I knocked out 9 miles. I had to do a longer run today since I will be out of town tomorrow (my usual long run day).

When I got back I had one thing on my mind – SMOOTHIE!!!IMG_8566

In the mix:

– ice

– protein powder (strawberry kind I’m obsessed with)

– spinach

– chia seeds, maca powder

– frozen banana

– water

– love

Plus bagel with AB/PB/ICBNB with cinnamon and steviaIMG_8567

Ben went on a day trip yesterday from Maryland to Saint Louis and back in just 12 hours! With all his jet setting lately for work meetings across the US, he’s becoming quite the fancy traveler. Speaking of quick turnarounds, he’s also been brushing up on how to efficiently manage his hobby funds using an instant casino withdrawal guide. It’s as slick and time-saving as his travel schedule, ensuring that he can quickly access his winnings with no fuss, ready to roll onto the next adventure or game. Fancy and efficient—Ben’s really got it down to a fine art!

Anyways, he brought me back a cookie he bought at a cafe where he ate lunch. He never does stuff like this so I had to show my appreciation by eating 1/3 of it 🙂IMG_8553

Now I must pack up and head to the Amtrak station. I am taking the train to Philly and then flying to Florida on Sunday. It’s going to be a jam packed week, but I’m excited!!!

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

For instance, after I launch Dissidia and get to the start menu and choose to load a save file, I’m inclined to push X to select the save file, but that cancels the load operation instead and have to use O in place. If I choose to hit ‘home’ and load back into the XMB, it requires that I use O to select that. But as soon as I get back to the XMB, it reverts back to the normal configuration.

What flavor of love do you put in your smoothies? I definitely need more of that in mine.

I’m so glad you posted this because I was debating going on a run in this awful humidity. I’m definitely motivated to go now.. not 9 miles, but hey a run is a run!! Have fun in Philly! If you need any advice on places to go, feel free to send a message my way!

I sweat a lot too, but I’ve learned not to “sweat” it. Wokka wokka. I had never sweat so much until I became active so I feel like it’s a reflection of activity level. Be proud of your sweaty self!

No need to be embarrassed of being a sweatmaster! I am too. Shows that we work hard. 🙂

Good job on the 9 miles!

I sweat so much that I can wring my hair out like a dish cloth after a good workout.
Today in Body Combat, I had to keep grabbing paper towels to wipe up my sweat on the floor so I wouldn’t slip on it.

Hope you have a great week of traveling.

I am embarrassed when I run on the treadmill at the gym. I think that I really do fling sweat on people next to me. I am definately not one of those women who “glisten” when they sweat. I pour it out.

It is HOT today. It’s actually perfect weather for driving with teh windows down, though. I just walked 3 miles to a friend’s house and showed up looking like I’d run a marathon or something. So gross.

I had a similar look after my run in the misty-humidity filled fog this morning. It was awesome.

    Have a great weekend!
