A few weeks ago, a rep from Swopper contacted me about trying out one of their super cool office chairs. It’s considered ‘motion seating’ and the chair is slightly unsteady, giving your core a subtle workout throughout the day. Ugh. I am sitting on the worst office chair imageable…I think it belonged to someone else in the office at some point and it was “repurposed” for me. All I know is that I am constantly slouching over within an hour of getting to work. My posture in this chair is atrocious! I would be the most excited girl in the world to win the Swopper. I am sitting on a fake leather chair from Costco. The fake leather is peeling off both arms and some of the seat. I think it was meant to handle the big guy around here, cause it’s bulky with no lumbar support. When you try to sit back and relax it tilts backwards and rocks a little. I am all for trying something that wakes up my core and is easy to maneuver.

I am sitting in the most uncomfortable chair at work and I do this 9hrs a day, four days a week. I wish I had a good chair that was truly ergonomic and not the farce they gave me. Work won’t let me keep my stability ball here, I tried to hide it under my desk and pretend I was just really enjoying this crazy chair that was pulled from the depths of sciatic hell, but I was told to take it home. Maybe a “real” chair would be acceptable and if not, I can use it at home where I sit for the rest of the day and do all the other stuff I pretend is really important. Like finding more races to sign up for and drive my husband and sons crazy.

Omg Monica I have gone from a regular chair hurting my back to a stand up desk that made my hamstrings too tight to the stability ball that I am currently on and is half deflated. This chair looks ingenious! All the goodness of a stability ball but much more functional

I am currently sitting in a office chair which no longer can be adjusted up or down. I have to admit it’s better than the 1st one they gave me. It had a broken wheel. If you sat too close to the edge, the wheel would pop out, and the chair would lean precariously to the left.

That chair looks amazing! I have been researching something else to sit on to help with my core. My office chair is horrible. No matter how I sit the back digs into my spine and I wind up slouching all day since it’s the only comfortable way to sit. Love your blog!

I have a horrible chair provided by my employer that has broken 2 times. It swivels and raises but the back breaks and the arms hit my cube! At home I’m stuck using a chair from my kitchen table.
The worst part of it is I’m studying for my licensing exam (8 hour test) and I really need a good seat.

This is kind of gross – but my current chair in my home office is a computer chair that I “inherited” from my dad after he got tired of it and bought a new one. It’s probably 6-7 years old. It works totally fine and I have very few complains – but for whatever reason, the fabric tends to attract hair, so once a week, I’ll be able to pull off hair balls! GROSS!
