The Best and Worst of Las Vegas this weekend

8 Sep

Hello! Last night in Las Vegas was an absolute BLAST in a glass. I didn’t take a lot of pictures and/or am trying to keep some of my dignity but I do want to share the BEST and the WORST of my Saturday on the Strip.

Mid-day I had a Nutella Cream Cheese and Banana Crepe from Blizz inside the Luxor. It was the BEST x10.

chocolate cream cheese crepe (800x450)

I also spent some QT with Cindy at the pool. My fake tan is the BEST. My sports bra scabs are the WORST.

We had dinner at Chin Chin (inside New York New York Casino). I am digging Mojitos lately – they’re the BEST. Cindy had some Pear drink that she loved, but I thought it was just okay. You can still enjoy gambling even when you’re not in Vegas with slot gacor hari ini. If you’re looking for options to play, try Joker123 terbaru, a fun and exciting game. A premier online gaming platform such as sukabet is providing a wide range of entertainment options, including slot games, live casinos, and sports betting.

Side note: Next door to NYNY is Excalibur and while we were trying to walk to dinner we had to take a detour because there was a fight and two men were in a stabbing fight near the walk-way between Luxor and Excalibur. Local news is saying they will both survive – more here. After looking that up I found a lot of shady things that have happened around that hotel – not sure if that’s usual for Vegas, but it’s scary and sad. You can safely play online games at home with daftar situs slot gacor.

Then, I put on way too much make up and we hit the town to dancedancedance. Eventually, we made it to Light at Mandalay Bay and ran into Julie from PB Fingers!!! She was in town for a Bachelorette Party and after a ton of texts found each other. We were excited!

las vegas light club (450x800)

Light was fun! It was packed but not too crowded. We hung out at a table so there was good space to dance.

Check out RunEatRepeat on Instragram for a 13 second video of the club.

We had to do my usual silly photo-shoot.

sleepy time in las vegas (800x450)

I had to wake up because we made friends from the Gay Days party and switched shoes for an impromptu fashion show. I don’t know who took these pics but I’m glad they did.

fun fun vegas time (450x800)

Then I lost all my money in Las Vegas.

Seriously.

I lost my purse between the shoe fun and walking to the after party. AHHH!

So, I kicked off my shoes and ran around to find them. Times like that I’m glad I am a runner.  Cindy asked a cleaning lady and SHE FOUND IT and took it to security.

Thank you so much Alicia!!! You are the BEST!

Next thing I know I woke up to a cloudy, rainy day in Las Vegas and headed home.

las vegas cloudy day (450x800)

Now I’m tired and need to recharge in front of the TV with a lot of water.

What’s the best thing you ate / did this weekend?

Best thing I ate – that crepe.

Best thing I did – found Julie in Las Vegas.

I love Vegas! Your story makes me want to go back so bad. I had the best time when I went two years ago. We stayed at Caesars Palace and it was awesome. Five days was not enough to see and do it all though. I will go back someday!

The best thing I ate was also a Nutella banana crepe, except mine was from a good truck in the park ha. I wish I had never discovered that there is a crepe food truck, now I’ll have to follow it all over town.

You weren’t too far from me the whole weekend. We were in town dor a 50th Anniversary party for my aunt & uncle and stayed at the Monte Carlo. I’m an ol’ preggo lady so no partying for me, but we had still had a good
    time.

Must be the weather. I am totally digging mojjitos too! Bra scabs literally are the worst! Reese sticks were my favorite treat this weekend and I tried Popeyes today and yuck! Worst and wasted.

I still haven’t been to Vegas. I really need to make my way over there…I’m hoping this March it will finally happen!
And I’m also amazed you were able to find your purse…must have been good karma.
Also, I adore your dress. Where did you get it from?

It went pretty well….Finished in 4:04. I hadn’t run over 10 miles since the Seattle Marathon earlier this summer, so needless to say, my training SUCKED.

It was the first year of that marathon – I’d do it again. Flat course, lots of aid stations.

Best thing I ate was a ceviche made with shrimp and scallops.
Best thing I did was take a walk in the woods and watch a baby deer jump across my path.

I stayed at the Excalibur back in 1997! It was $57 a night.
I prob wouldn’t stay there again. But the Luxor next door has the best breakfast buffet. I miss Vegas. I was married there in 1998. And I went again in 1999, 2003, 2004, and 2006. I’m long overdue.

Your Instagram dancing video has to be one of my favorite things ever. 🙂

Best thing I ate: smoked chicken from the neighbor’s bbq. Mmmmm. Have some chickpea sunbutter chocolate cookies in the oven and hoping they’re a close second!

Best thing I did: skipped my long run because my back was hurting (normally I’m stupid and push through but I actually listened to my body) and did a 50 mile bike ride on the trainer instead watching the Ironman 70.3 champs. Jealous you were in Vegas for both party fun times and would have loved to spectate the race!

Never been to Vegas either. Always get weird looks when I say that, especially because my friends know I love to gamble. Problem is, I love to gamble. If I go to Vegas I may end up selling my hair (like in that commercial) or another body part just to keep gambling. I’m staying away.
