The BEST Pre Run Fuel

Running· What Runners Eat

26 Dec

Hi! How’s it going? I started my day with the BEST running fuel = nutella. Thank you Santa!

pre run fuel (600x800)

Good run, good food, good tunes…

monday run day (800x600)

In other news…

This is me trying to get my life together:

cat food fail (600x800)

I’m pretty excited about my Christmas presents! I really wanted to see that Wild movie and now I have to read the book super fast before I watch it!!

christmas present book (800x600)

I also got my favorite perfume and I’m wearing it even though I’m just hanging around the house today. I love it.

Now I’m frantically cleaning because my dad and lil bro are coming to visit me!!

Question: Should I just hide everything in the closet or actually clean like a normal person?

Have you read this book? Seen the movie? Are you Wild?

THIS IS YOUR YEAR.

I LOVED Wild, and am very sad that it’s not showing near me. Boo for living in the sticks.

I thought hiding everything in the closet IS the normal way to clean! Enjoy the book and the movie. And keep running.

I’ve never tried that perfume before, but I think I’m going to treat myself to a new perfume with my Christmas money.

I haven’t read “Wild” yet, but I really want to see the movie! I guess I was living under a rock, because I had no idea it was a book first! I’ll have to check it out!

Read the book awhile back and didn’t love it. Saw the movie last week and loved it. I never think that movies are better than books so maybe I’m just in a different place in my life now so I could relate more? Don’t know…guess I have to read the book again and find out! I hope you like it.

Ahhh I had this similar thought! I liked the book okay but nothing extraordinary. I think the story actually translates better on film, which is so rarely (or, until now, never) the case! Loved the movie far more!

I saw the movie last week. I loved it. There were some slow points but it all really works in the end.

I am so out of it, I have no idea what Wild is about, but now, I will need to check it out.

I got a Ninja thingy for Christmas, so I am going to hit up the store for green smoothie ingredients.

50:50 hide:clean. Gets the job done, still feel good about yourself, salvage sanity.

Just bought the book for an upcoming trip. Several friends have hiked the PCT. I’m looking forward to it. I’ll start it in the plane as I fly over those mountains 🙂

I read Wild and thought it was okay- she was a annoying at times and I didn’t think some of the book worked in terms of transitions, content, etc… I did appreciate the actual hiking aspect- being a fan of Yosemite it was nice to read about the trail. I went to one of her readings at the LA Public Library and wasn’t exactly impressed by her, but that’s probably just a personality preference sort of thing. I will see it once it’s out on Netflix in a year or two.

I was so happy to read your comment Christine. I felt the same way about the book. I think that hiking the Pacific Crest Trail is amazing, but the book did not flow for me. I could not find anyone else that didn’t think it was AMAZING. Thanks for sharing ; it’s not just me.

Throw it in the closet, for sure. That’s usually my solution 😉

I didn’t want to read the book until I saw the movie trailer, and now I want to read the book. I feel like that’s backwards.

Clean as much as you can until you run out of time or get tired of it, and then toss the rest of the stuff in the closet 😉

      Nice running route you’ve got!
