We weren’t leaving until 6pm so we had time for some fun stuff on our last day on Marco Island. I started the day with a little run. I am getting used to tolerating the humidity – a little.
Tuesday is the BF’s mom’s b-day so his sis and I made breakfast. It was mostly his sis, but I did make the smoothies and toast!
I started off with a smoothie. I also snacked on some Panda Puffs while waiting for everything to be done.
I had eggs and toast with a little cream cheese.
I was still hungry, so I made half a bagel with cream cheese.
We went out to the beach and swam in the ocean where I got to see a dark spot in the water that turned out to be a manatee. I didn’t get a great look since he/she didn’t want to lift it’s head out of the water, but I did see a manatee! I think. It was only like 20 feet away and I tried to get closer to it, but it swam away. I guess that’s lucky in case it was not a manatee at all and in fact a shark!
I also had 2 veggie nuggets.
And shared some pistachio fluff with the BF.
I didn’t not share the fruit though. He’s going to end up with scurvy the way I hog all the fruit.
I also grabbed a couple of cookies. They are not even chocolate chip, but I am not used to having home made cookies in my face all the time. I ate way too many of these this trip! Boo.
We ate dinner at the airport during our 2 hour layover. I had a grilled tilapia sandwich with a side of broccoli. The tilapia was grilled, but still covered in oil. But, it was very good. I love fish.
I also ordered a baked potato which I ate with ketchup and salt – my favorite!
We got some frozen yogurt for dessert, topped with mixed nuts. It was just a little bit of nuts, so I added some panda puffs for good measure.
It was a long traveling day. We left FL and 6pm, our connected flight was delayed a half an hour so, we got into L.A. at midnight. By the time we got the car and got home it was 1:30am and I was in bed by 2. We shared a protein bar on the way home because we were a little hungry, but didn’t want to eat anything heavy.
