Two New Products Tuesday

Happy Tuesday Smile I started my day with boot camp. I’m very happy it’s been warmer this week so it’s not dark AND cold outside!!

Then, I came straight home thinking about breakfast all the way. I’m surprised at how hungry I by the time I get home even though it’s not even 7am yet?! Guess an early wake up call means an early stomach growling.IMG_2738 (800x600)

While I was cooking breakfast (for me and Ben) I ate some of this Fullbar the company sent me to try. I’ve been chomping on these in between meals here and there when I need a quick snack. I don’t like that they are marketed to be a weight loss bar, because their stats are similar to so many other bars out there so a “normal” audience can appreciate it too 🙂 But I do like that they’re light and tasty to help hold off hunger if you’re busy – especially if you have it with a glass of water as the package says. You check out the Fullbar FB page here.IMG_2742 (800x600)

I also chomped on some of these Funky Monkey banana snacks. They are surprisingly good!IMG_2740 (600x800)

I have a writing assignment and some evening clients. So, I’ll see ya later Smile

I see you’re also loving the dried fruit these days! I don’t know if it’s the cold weather but I am all about it myself…yum!

Also, looking at that bagel makes me hungry. It’s not even meal or snack time…

I love the taste of the Funky Monkey snacks, but man do I get the jitters after eating them. Super sugar rush!

I don’t like sour stuff, so I probably wouldn’t try them.

Full Bar’s perplex me with their marketing and sky high prices…yet I have tried a couple of them and they are pretty tasty. I’m a sucker, I guess.

TJ’s has freeze dried fruits that are similar to the Funky Monkey brand.

We love the banana, strawberry and blueberries.

I don’t know – the freeze dried fruits from TJ’s usually seem very dry – these are a unique texture I’ve never had in dried fruit. Have you tried this flavor?

I actually really like the full bars too (peanut butter flavor). I am always slightly embarrassed to buy them because they are so obviously marketed as a weight loss bar. I am a big fan of rice krispie treats and these bars kind of remind me of the same kind of texture- like if I put marshmallows, peanut butter, and puff cereal together this is what I would get. I also like how big they are for only 160-180 cals. I feel like some bars are just so tiny and dense and these are just more puffed and airy. okay – enough about that- I was just glad to see them on your blog!

I agree! I think I would be embarrassed to buy them, but I love the size!

I like the funky munky brand. They have dried apples too, which are really good.

Do you not eat before boot camp? I can probably eat if I’m only running a few miles, but if I’m doing any sort of strength training, I HAVE to eat. It’s usually just a banana, but it tides me over.

No, I don’t eat before boot camp. I wake up, change and get out the door. I’m still half asleep when I arrive!

That sounds like how I show up to work sometimes. 😉 Now that it’s winter, I have to start drying my hair though.

I have to ask, what do you put on your bagels?? It looks like peanut butter, jelly and chia seeds?

I’m so obsessed with banana chips lately. I’m going to attempt to make my own this weekend!
