Things that are happening in Florida that make me go wtf…

wtf[3]

1. Hitchhiker, just hanging onto the car…

lizard on the car (800x600)

2. SNAKES!!! AHHHHH!! Ben and I took an evening walk yesterday and a black racer snake scared me to death. I almost ran straight back to CA right then and there.

(Note: I wrote ‘snack’ instead of ‘snake’ there 2 times.)

what is that

3. Vegas’ long lost brother… This is George, Ben’s sister’s cat. He’s beautiful and I like him. But I miss Vegaroo now.

sleepy cat love (800x600)

(That mostly makes me go ‘wtf’ because I didn’t realize I actually liked Vegas so much.)

4. BUGS. Even though I have this super handy dandy ‘bug get away fan’ I still have a ton of bug bites.

5. Heat rash. I have heat rash. wtf.

6. W.atermelon. T.hat (is all) F.or me.

watermelon time in fl (600x800)

7. Epic ice cream like salted caramel and rum raisin with actual rum in it. Love.

8. Alligators! I ran by this little inlet and thought I spotted a gator.

Can you see him now?

I hope the alligator that eventually eats me appreciates that I eat so well.

what the heck happened

Question: What made you go ‘wtf’ this week?

What are you eating today?

OMGoodness, I have never had rum and raisin ice cream, but can someone please tell me where I can find this in San Francisco? My lactose intolerance can go take a hike!! LOL!! Also, so grateful for no bugs in my city – forgot what that was like. My record was 25 bites in one night in NYC!!

The speed of elite marathon runners. Watching Boston and London, it’s just incredible. I would love to be faster (and fortunately there is plenty of room for improvement).

I am also stunned that Paula Radcliffe set a marathon world record that no one has come close to beating in 12 frigging years!! WTF??

I once nearly stepped onto a snake at the local park (it was dark!)…it was a 20m PB for me!

I love traveling to other places in the country and going, “HOW DO PEOPLE LIVE LIKE THIS?!” fifteen times a day. Those feelings let you know that your home is the right spot for you.

“HOW DO PEOPLE LIVE LIKE THIS?!” <- seriously. I say that when I go somewhere super cold more than anything. I'm way too spoiled with the weather in SoCal.

A snake would have me running home too. I cannot deal with that. Nope.

I run by an inlet in Texas when I visit my sister in law and there is a “Caution Snakes and Alligators” sign that freaks me out every time!

Dinner will be a new recipe I’m trying – sweet potato and black bean vegan enchiladas!

I went to a kinesiotaping course today. A lot the techniques made me go “WTF.” Very informative and tons of fun though!

Today for dinner we’re having some tortilla crusted tilapia from Costco.
