Walk, Eat, Repeat

Friday is a Rest Day for me so I just did some random arm weights and took a short walk. I was trying to get to work early today. I am shooting for another short walk after work too 🙂

As I mentioned last night I made a breakfast cookie for this lovely Friday morning. I heated it up a bit before eating. My thoughts: It tastes very good 🙂 but was less filling than my usual bowl of oats. Also, my bowl of oats takes longer to eat and is a lot more food volume-wise. It’s the same calories as my usual breakfast, but I was not full after eating it 🙁 I liked it, but probably won’t be making it again very often. Don’t hate me, I know everyone around the blog world loves them & I totally agree that it tastes amazing, actually like a dessert! It reminds me of those No-Bake Vegan cookies I’ve made in the past…But, it’s not what I’m looking for in a breakfast.

The search continues for a breakfast that fills me up as much as oatmeal, but is a little different…

The cookie looks yummy but I can see it seeming less filling than a bowl of oatmeal. Very tasty looking though!

Have you ever tried corner bakery’s swiss oatmeal?? “Swiss Oatmeal {Served Chilled} – Our chilled European breakfast cereal made with rolled oats, fresh green apples, bananas, currants, dried cranberries, low fat yogurt, and skim milk. Served with our delicious homemade Sweet Crisp.”

I make it at home by using less water than normal to cook my oats (so its not creamy) and then mix in greek yogurt, bananas, a granny smith and dried cranberries. Its sooooo good, and a change from just regular oats!! Very filling too….

I haven’t made a breakfast cookie, yet! I do think they look really good, but also wondered how filling they would be! Thanks for the review!
