Before I introduce you to my new FAVORITE thing I want to say hello to the lil ducks. They are so cute! I’ll probably fall tomorrow looking for them instead of looking at the sidewalk in front of me, but it’s the price you pay for cuteness. The lil duck mom always tries to rush them away when I stop to look at them so I have to stop and enjoy the view super quick. I’m not even that close to them, but she doesn’t trust me. I don’t blame her.

I know you’re supposed to eat your colors but I feel like Cauliflower Rice and Chicken is not colorful yet still pretty healthy.  I get tons of greens and reds and various other colors from fruits and veggies. So this bland looking meal is okay with me.

This morning I am doing a tempo run. It’s a good way to get faster without having to torture yourself on the track (at least that’s what I tell myself). Here’s an easy to follow 5 mile tempo run:

How to do it: Warm up with an easy pace mile. Run the tempo miles at half marathon pace if you’re training for a full marathon. You can also run it at a 6 to 7 effort if you don’t know what pace. Cool down with a mile at the end.

No, not Vegas. He is not super into running or really doing anything. I keep trying to get him to read Women’s Running but he insists he’s not a woman so it’s not applicable to him.

I got a Garmin 235 Running Watch! After a lot of peer pressure from my running friends I bought a new running gps watch because it’s just the easiest to use and I’m very set in my ways. My first running watch was a Garmin-o and I used it until it literally fell off my disgusting sweaty wrist.

Anyway I needed something that gave me a breakdown of my pace at the end of each mile which my Tom Tom Running Watch didn’t do. I’m really bad at pacing so I need that extra little info.  So this watch will be my new best friend and I shall name him Garmin-o (just like the first one because I’m not original).

Question: Any bets on when I fall again?

Last time was in Florida.

      Some pieces even hover off the ground (or seem to), which creates open space that visually expands a space.

      After I finished it and my friend asked me if I liked it, all I could say is "I don't knoow&qu.t; A few times throughout the book, I had to put it down and clear my mind. Now I'm trying to decide what to read next but I don't know how to follow up this book.

      I’m with you! Even though that’s a bland looking meal, it’s healthy and sounds delicious so I say go with it! Fingers crossed that you enjoy your new watch and that you don’t fall again anytime soon!

      Ironically, the last 2 times I fell while running when I was in Florida. Both times I was running down Bay Shore Blvd. There were tons of witnesses. I’m not sure what caused the fall – if I lost my balance, just didn’t pick my feet up or what, but I felt like an idiot.

        That is the worst! Ben’s dad said it might be because it’s so bright there and the combo of the sun and the sidewalk I’m not used to?

      I have the Garmin 620 and I really like it but lately I’m not too focused on time.

      I also have ducks! A white one, Jenny, and then several mallards and wood ducks. Oh and I also have peacocks and a woodstork. It’s never boring in my backyard, trust me. My instagram feed looks like Old MacDonald’s farm.

      Can I get 5 bucks on the over/under for a mid August fall, say the 15th? (I have no idea if that’s proper betting language which is probably a good thing.)

      Ah I want a Garmin watch so bad! I currently have an Apple watch and it does the worst job on tracking my runs. I once did an 8 miler and it only logged .04 miles, and I was like uh it’s 2016, I’m pretty sure we have the GPS technology to figure this out, Apple.

      Just for you I am going to post a picture of some ducks that visited my parents nieghbors’ house when I was home last weekend…..

      I am kicking myself in the butt- should’ve bought the 235 but I went with 220 🙁

      Even though it does not have a heart rate monitor thing, it still does the job so I’m not complaining!
