Hello! today we’re talking water and workouts.

workout in the morning

First workouts…

Run:

I started my day with an easy 8 miler. Nothing exciting to note except I had to cut it short for an appointment.

Cross-training:

Tomorrow is a rest day and I’ll be away from home so I’m going to do this 10 minute no equipment needed session and take a walk. And stretch!!

10 minute workout no equipment needed

Post run eats

Since I was running late I made a smoothie. In the blender: ice, handful frozen berries, 1 scoop Jamie Eason’s whey protein, almond milk. I also had a banana with AB before my run.

Water

It’s time to check in – how has it been going with staying hydrated this week?

On Monday we talked about checking to see if you’re hydrated. Have you been on track with that?

I’ve been doing great on that part. It’s kinda my specialty.

i drink

Now that I think about it, I have more than just running common with Forest Gump.

Everything in moderation kids…

im not drinking

Question: On a scale of 1 to 10 –

1 being you haven’t drank anything since yesterday

10 being you are at the perfect hydration levels and scientists around the world should study your techniques…

How are you doing with your water intake today?

THIS IS YOUR YEAR.

I used to be great with water intake but lately I’m slacking so I’m trying to make sure I get back on the water train. So far I’m a bit behind where I should be today but I’ll drink some right now!

I find that ever since my job changed the trouble started. I used to be on the phones in a busy customer contact centre and now that I’m not on the phones my mouth doesn’t get as noticeably dry anymore so it’s easy to forget – plus I’m doing lots of graphic and web work so it’s easy to become distracted. I need to do better!

I generally hover around a 5-6….I’ve definitely tried to drink more on longer run days and days I know I’m going to sweat more. This humidity wears me out!

Maybe like a 6 or 7. I have been drinking a decent amount of water, and had a full glass of coconut water after a 14-mile run, but I’m not sure I have had enough to replace what I’ve used. Though, I also just might be really tired.

I am a 10 when I’m at work since I have a desk job and just refill my water bottle when it’s empty. I have more of an issue when I’m home and out and about remembering my bottle! I’m trying to make a better habit of having a water bottle with me whenever I go anywhere.

… does beer count as hydrating? Because a LOT of that happened yesterday, post-unintentional-11-mile-hike! (Beer and pizza. Pepperoni probably has some moisture, right?)

Hi there! I’m a fairly new reader, first time commenter!! Looooove your blog. I’ve been really working hard to up my water intake, so I’ve been carrying around my water bottle with me everywhere. I’d say I’m at a 7!

Hanging in there with water! Some days better than others but I try for around 120oz. Yesterday I came up a few shy but hoping to be back on track today!

I have been good this week! today I am probably at a 7 because I am still a little dehydrated from my morning run but overall I have been getting 7-9 cups of H20 a day!

I think I’m around a 7. I had some wine last night so slacked on the water. I was so thirsty after my run this morning so I’ve been chugging water ever since to make up for last night.

I’d say around a 6 or 7 today. I try to carry my water bottle around with me all day at work, but sometimes I get busy and forget about it. At home, I always have a glass of water or Crystal Light in front of me.

I rate myself a solid 7.5. I hydrate well enough so my pee is usually super light yellow to almost clear. I used to hate the taste of water. (Silly. I know. But it is how I am) so I would always put flavor in it, but decided that was too much fake sugar. Now I am going pure water with lemon and/or strawberries.

I would say an 8 today but only because it’s ridiculously humid and hot here in Florida today and I sweat it out as soon as it goes in!

My run this morning was rough. I was seeing spots. I usually drink water all day long but hadn’t had any since 9:00 pm last night and got up and ran with no water. Needless to say, after my run this morning, I drank 2 full glasses of water and felt so much better. That rarely happens. But today I would say I am an 8. There are still a few hours left in this day to make it to a 10! 😉
