What I Wore to the Marathon

Marathon fuel:
I took with me Clif Margarita Shot Blocks and Clif Mocha gel – I don’t know if it’s the fact that I eat it at mile 18 or what, but I swear mocha gel tastes like chocolate frosting.
I also drank the Vitalyte on the course and water. Unfortunately, I skipped the beer and bacon station this race is known for at mile 20. That was a poor life choice.
And I’ve been drinking so much iced coffee today I’m scared.

So I’ve heard that Moving Comfort is no longer producing apparel. Their last line was Fall 2014. As they are owned by Brooks running, they are absorbing their apparel line. They will continue with their sports bras line though.

I’m drinking as much water as humanly possible today. I had a massage this morning and the last time I went I felt sick because I didn’t drink enough water. I’m trying to avoid that this time around!

Nice form on the board Mon! I yelled for you and you either didn’t hear me, or you ignored your #1 fan =). Or probably thinking about watermelons at the finish and how disappointed you would be if there was none.

The mocha shot DOES taste like chocolate frosting!!! My opinion, though: the Gu Espresso Love is better 🙂

I am drinking a decaf double espresso and just made a smoothie with chia, greens, apple, ginger, and lemon. Delish. Also, glad you are not dead today.

I pretty much drink Crystal Light all day because I am not a fan of plain water. At least I am trying to hydrate…right?!?!

I’m currently drinking ginger peach black tea. And I’m mad at myself for it, because it’s just so good, but it’s also so full of caffeine I will never sleep. Oh well.
