Normally my computer is my right hand man (aka my only friend). But yesterday I managed to download a VIRUS and it went CRAZYCRAZYCRAZY.
One minute it’s an angel, the next it was a diablo! Like mother like blogger?
I was about to freak out but then I remembered I am very lucky and it’s going to be okay.
But I didn’t have the time to mess with it because I had plans last night so I just shut it down and went out.
Thank you to everyone who voted on my super last minute but wildly important Instagram poll:
I went with the black even though I preferred the white tee because it seemed see through. My mission in life is to find a good not see-through white tee and body suit.
This morning I woke up and remembered my computer was tragic. So, I googled around and found someone who would come to my house to fix it for a flat fee. It took him 3 hours! I really messed it up!!
But he totally saved my life and I am now happily talking to you nice people.
Since I couldn’t use my lapper for most of the day I decided to take advantage and be productive. I cleaned and worked on a few house projects.
Just dusting my manatee drinking wine…
I even got the mail and found a surprise – a random tiny sample of Nutella! Made my day.
I think I should always have a Nutella snack in my pocket, don’t you?
Now I’m off to enjoy Halloween! See you later
Question: Have you ever broken your computer with some kind of virus or mess up?
Tricia @ A Couple of Dashes says
OMG! I just went to your Instagram to look at your poll and started looking at the funny pics you post on there. I literally spent 10 minutes laughing out loud at work thanks to you!

I got my booty to the gym this morning for my chest/tri day for POTM day 1. Love the accountability this holds me to!

Laury says
Forty minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes of strength.

I ran 4 miles this morning and it was cold!!!
Patricia Morrison says
Hope this is where I’m supposed to be posting for Pile on the miles… Ran 6 km in below freezing temps this morning (gotta love November in Quebec)…94 km to go to reach my goal! Hope to continue to run outdoors, but may have to complete challenge on treadmill if this weather keeps up! Brrrrrr….

Monica!!! Day one of pile on the miles and I did my 9 mile long run.

Yes! My Samsung Series 5 Ultra kept giving me a weird blue warning message with a sad face. I took it to someone whose solution was to re-set it, which uninstalled Word, Excel, and many programs that I use for work! I was so pissed! I know Mac users don’t have these problems, but I don’t think I’m cool enough for a Mac.

Walked 2.31 for Pile on the Miles!! A nice easy walk after a late Halloween night 😉
Love this challenge!

Since its 11/1/14 the first day of “Pile On The Miles” and I am not sure where to post this… :
Did a rainy 10.9 miler today – saw a mom and baby deer and a random bicyclist told me a joke…
Bicyclist: “I wish the rain would keep up”
Me: “Why?”
Bicyclist: “So that it doesn’t come down”
(corny, but i’ll laugh at anything around mile 8).
Sue says
Ok, first workout done. Took it easy since I’ve been on a break, but did 20 minutes on my treadmill, then some weights and stretching.
Julia says
I have not killed my laptop due to a virus but I’ve came very close thanks to downloading music illegally! Woops. Karma.
Ps–Same question as Lauren. Are we just supposed to check-in every day on your most recent post with our #PileOnTheMiles update? Or just that specific blog post? Either way, adding 8 miles today on Nov. 1st!! YAY:)
Clara says
I am also curious if this is where I post my pile on the miles challenge update. Day 1 goal is under my belt. Bring on the Thanksgiving feast.
Lauren says
Monica is there where I am supposed to be posting for pile on the miles??? Just did a rainy 6 miles for day #1 and I don’t want to miss out! Thanks for your help!

Yay for computer whizzes, nutella, and manatees!
Hannah @ Hannah the Healthnut says
I just got a new computer due to the fact that my old one keeled over on me, and the hard-drive pooped out right after the “blue screen of death” mentioned above.
p.s. Loving the nutella on-the-go. . .
I keep packets of peanut butter in my purse. You never know when you car is going to break down in the middle of nowhere! . . . Right?
Livi @ Eat, Pray, Work It Out says
I spilled a glass of water over my keyboard once, but luckily some rice and blow drying saved it!
Lisa says
Totally, all the time! I have IT friends though, they normally roll their eyes at me, but if I make them a good cup of tea they are happy.
Daisy @ Fit Wanderlust Runner says
I killed a Dell…two actually. Then I went Mac and just love it!! No viruses, no fuss. Highly recommend! I’ll never go back to regular PC.
Kristin says
I haven’t killed a computer via virus before, but my wet hair dripped on my keyboard once and fried it:( it was a MacBook, and my high school graduation present, and my parents sold me to gypsies because of it (that’s only half true.)
Also, I have the same manatee!!
runeatrepeat says
Ha!!
Christine @ BookishlyB says
Get a Mac!
runeatrepeat says
But I need Windows Live Writer to blog!
Bob Simon says
I’m sure has enough brain cells not to get a mac
Sally @ sweat out the small stuff says
I have a Mac so no viruses but I dropped my laptop and ruined the screen. I had to send it out and have it repaired.
And now it’s just old and slow and I have to restart it every 5 min. Sad.
Kelly M says
I cracked my screen once and then one time in the middle of working on my thesis, it went crazy. The screen rapidly flipped between upside down and right side up and then eventually turned black. I freaked out and took it to a computer place which discovered it was just a broken touch pad. They gave me a wireless mouse and all was right in the world.
Losing Lindy says
glad you got fixed
Becky @ Ok, so here's the plan says
I killed one computer – I don’t know how, but the hard drive died. I have also had numerous encounters with the blue screen of death and a couple of virus episodes. I really shouldn’t have electronics.
I’m glad yours is up and running again!
