My goal for this week is 10 miles. I have been trying to get 10 miles in each week with extra if I can. It is hard though with work and a toddler. So far this week I have 5 miles in. I have a 5k scheduled for Saturday and a couple more coming up.

I won’t be able to run and will do a DVD workout instead

Fell a little short of the intended weekly mileage but I am still on track to hit the monthly goal! What I learned is to make sure I get out and run when no one else is around. I got some of my miles in last week, but only weight lifted twice. Really probably only once, I went to the gym to weight lift on Friday and after getting half way through my work out I just stopped and went home because I wasn’t feeling the work out. Really there is no excuse for not finishing my workout. What I learned this week is that I need to stop talking myself out of going to the gym. I am the only one who can make a difference in my health and I have to keep myself accountable.

I did not meet my goal. I got out once last week, and while that’s once more than the week before, it was half my running goal and a quarter of my strength goal. I was lazy the first half of the week knowing that my second half of the week would be crazy busy, and that wasn’t a good decision. This week I need to hit it right out of the gate! Hopefully that will set the tone for my week! My goal this week is 7 miles and at least four ab workouts.

I beat my goal last week, and reached my silent goal, of getting back to the long. I will run 3 to 5 miles every day no problem, but without a race to train for, the long runs don’t tend to happen, so I’m hopeful that this challenge will help me get back to at least one long run (reaching the majority of my goal in one run) a week, and continue with the schedule of shorter runs that I already have well established. Having fun so far!
