Strawberry Sunday Snapshots from my day

Happy Sunday! I had a low key night last night, just hung out with Vegas – he obviously loved it…

Here are a few snapshots from my day…

mizuno and coffee (376x502)

pre run waffle (376x502)

Ran by a strawberry farm and that sparked a craving Smile

2014-03-02 07.46.03 (1) (800x600)

Nothing a quick stop at the store couldn’t fix!

Post run refuel – eggs, turkey bacon, burnt tortilla.

eggs and turkey bacon after run (800x600)

I like it burnt.

ooh burn

I also grabbed this new to me yogurt at the store – cow and goat’s milk Greek yogurt. Have you seen this?

It wasn’t amazing, probably wouldn’t get it again. But I ate it just in case I was hungry and didn’t realize…

I try to do meal prep ahead of time but usually end up letting the food go to waste and making something else…so basically a waste of my time haha

I love when you post photos of Vegas. I had an orange tabby named Simba, and he used to sleep just like that! (and I totally did the Rafiki/baby Simba thing to the Lion King theme song, obviously)

During the work week, my meals are usually the same. It makes it easy for packing & prepping lunches. I make a few meals on the weekends to eat as leftovers.

I don’t know if I’m hungry, but I’ll eat it anyway just in case. LOVE THAT!!! Though I’m pretty sure I’m always hungry.

I rode past a berry farm this weekend and got so excited. Pick your own, and you can bet I’ll be there when the berries are in season and the weather is nice!

I would do the same thing after driving past a strawberry farm!
This weekend I did a bunch of food prep so that is going to help me with getting in the best week!

Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Wonderful job.

I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that,
how you presented it. Too cool!

I always need to know where my next meal is coming from so meal planning is a must! It also helps with sticking to a budget and not wasting food, which I hate (that’s my Greek grandmother’s influence!).

I love a Sunday set up.

I don’t have a meal plan for the week. We kind of like to wing it and since there is just two of us that is pretty easy. Sometimes I will have an “idea” of what I am going to make just in case.

Is it just strawberry season year-round in Cali? Cause I gotta wait until June. Boo 🙁

Not really year round, but it’s a long-ish strawberry season. I can tell when those vines are dotted with red and stands pop up around.

I really should do a weekly meal plan one of these weeks. Might make the weeknight meals go more smoothly…

I am planning on going to bed early tonight to start the week off fairly well-rested. That, and I’m checking my lesson plans to make sure I actually have the supplies I need for the week.

I sound rather disorganized, but I swear it usually works out 🙂

Pack my lunch the night before and celebrated a 1 hour snow delay for tomorrow by watching another episode of Lost! 😉
Any shows you recommend on Netflix?? 🙂

I am in love with the popular ones… Orange is the New Black & just finished a House of Cards marathon today 🙂 I want to re-watch LOST from the beginning. Might have to do that sooner than later since I am ‘out’ of my other shows.
