Hello! I woke up and decided to do my 5K Friday run before I could get distracted by emails or Twitter. It totally worked! Since I didn’t stall my run I ended up doing 5 miles instead of 3 because I felt good
Breakfast: At this point I don’t know if I keep eating Bagel Thin French Toast because I love it or because I have lost all creativity when it comes to making breakfast?
I am pretty much done with my jar of Mighty Maple PB. I have never went through PB this fast! It’s very sad. But also very delicious…
Served up with the usual suspects… iced coffee!
It’s Fitbloggin Friday – a post series featuring the Fitbloggin Conference speakers and giving us a peek of what’s in store!
Today we’re talking with the amazing and inspiring MizFit…
1. How long have you been blogging / why did you start?
I’ve been blogging since 2001 (back in the day when we called them online journals). I was a full time writer at that point and was contacted by a on online fitness magazine and hired to blog for them three times a week. It’s funny to look back and think how odd I found the whole concept when I started. I couldn’t believe anyone would want to read about my personal fitness journey *three* times a week.
2. What topic are you speaking about at Fitbloggin?
I am moderating the keynote address and speaking on a panel about blogger responsibility.
3. Why do you think this is an important topic?
I think it’s the backdrop to all blogging and crucial to consider before we (the royal) hit publish on any post. I’m a tremendous advocate for freedom of speech, but I also know that we need to realize how many people (of all different backgrounds and places in their collective lives) are reading our blogs and impacted by our words.
4. If you went to Fitbloggin last year – what was your favorite part?
I went last year and loved every.single.minute of it. It was amazing to be surrounded by people who all GET each other and understand
5. Anything else we should know about you or your blog?
HMMM. No?
The only thing I’d want to add is how totally entirely and wholly excited I am for Fitbloggin. I’ve been looking forward to it since my flight home from Baltimore last year 🙂
Thanks Carla, You Rock!!!

I am participating in a recreational 5k walk to help stamp out Human Trafficking tomorrow. It’s women only and it’s sponsored by my friend’s church and I’m really excited to hopefully meet some new ladies and make some new friends.

I am so excited for Fitbloggin! I have been looking forward to attending for FOREVER and it is just around the corner. I’ve never been to a blogging conference or anything really that has to do with blogging and I can’t wait to be surrounded by people who get what I do and why I do it. It’s going to be a ridiculous 48 hours.
