Irish Pub in Las Vegas

19 Apr

I woke up feeling hung over wicked tired from staying up all night drinking. But, decided to check out the hotel’s gym because I am a compulsive eater exerciser.

IMG_9372 (800x600)

Unfortunately, I still felt like crap and just walked about 20 minutes and did some light weights.

IMG_9374 (600x800)

When I got back I thought a small snack would help settle my stomach. Nope. Long story less long, I ended up barfing. Luckily, you only get to see the food before I eat it.

IMG_9379 (800x600)

I laid down for a bit, but it was getting late and Ben needed food. So, we headed to…

lunch

We ended up at an Irish Pub in Mandalay Bay. IMG_9393 (800x600)

It’s right next door to the Guinness store SmileIMG_9394 (600x800)

The place was very empty for the lunch hour…

IMG_9385 (800x600)

Of course Ben had to have a Guinness. We chatted about my trip to Ireland and how tragic it is that I don’t like beer and opted to skip “Mother’s Milk” when I was there. So sad.

IMG_9386 (600x800)

I was tragically nauseous and just wanted bread. So, the waiter brought us some Irish Soda Bread (to be nice/for free because it’s not officially on the menu). This helped settle my stomach so I could order “real food”.

IMG_9388 (800x600)

I have been craving fish and chips and figured some greasy pub food would help my hangover. It’s hard to tell without reference, but this fish was massive! I’m pretty sure it was Shamu’s cousin.IMG_9389 (800x600)

Ben shared this with me. His burger didn’t come with fries and I tried to pawn off as many as I could on him. I have to thank my sickness because it really helped me be an intuitive eater for this meal. Got what I wanted, stopped when I was full.

IMG_9391 (800x600)

After lunch we walked around a few of the casinos that were around. I was in search of a lip gloss since I lost mine last night. While browsing through shops, I overheard some excited chatter about mostplay bangladesh online, and it honestly sounded like something fun to check out later. No luck on the gloss, but if you need socks – come to the sock store! Before trying any new betting site, it’s always wise to refer to reliable 먹튀스팟 검증업체 to ensure you’re using a safe and reliable platform.

IMG_9401 (600x800)IMG_9399 (600x800)

I think the weather is perfect today. PERFECT.

IMG_9402 (800x600)

IMG_9404 (600x800)

This gelato place caught my eye in the Aria, but resisted. IMG_9421 (800x600)

IMG_9405 (800x600)

But, Ben couldn’t.

IMG_9408 (800x600)

He ordered the Imperial…

Ben kept trying to offer me some, but I was trying hard to resist. Finally I reminded him I gave up sweets for Lent. He said Lent doesn’t exist in Vegas (along with various other moral values. True, very true. IMG_9416 (600x800)

I did get the best iced coffee though!

IMG_9419 (800x600)

Las Vegas is so visually stimulating with all the lights and statues and drunk people falling over.

Gotta get ready for dinner See ya later Smile

I LOVE Guinness! And I get trouble for ordering it all the time…not very feminine I guess. But Guinness + Irish Soda bread sounds like an ideal lunch, feeling sick or not!
PS Easter is so soon…get those sweets ready!

Wow, that’s awesome that you attempted the gym! Pretty sure I’ve never seen the inside of one in Vegas (probably a lot of things you shouldn’t see the inside of in Vegas…)
Glad you’re feeling better! Super jealous!

Wow, I don’t know if I’d have the strength to turn down such awesome desserts in Vegas! But way to go fulfilling Ecclesiastes 5:4-6. 🙂

I hate you felt bad! Hope you were still able to fully enjoy that AWESOME looking fish and chips. Wow, I want that.

And I think Ben’s right. Vegas doesn’t observe Lent.

I love Mandalay. That’s where I got married.

I love greasy food on a “hungover” stomach but my husband cannot handle it. The grease and the alcoholy feeling makes him throw up. He actually has to eat healthy, which is funny mostly because he doesn’t want to.

I have never been so happy that I gave up alcohol for Lent until I read this post. I’m not sure I’ll start again after Easter after imagining how you felt 2/3rds of the day. I hope you feel better 🙂

Barfing is not fun but at least you started to feel better not too long after. That dessert on the other hand looks so good. I don’t think I could have resisted.
