Hello! I had a fun day today – it was kind of unexpected, but those are the best kind, right?

This morning I went for a run in my good ol’ Fueled by Watermelon shirt. I ‘save’ this shirt because I originally wore it for the Marine Corps Marathon but never wear it –  I figure I should live it up since I love h2o melon year ‘round!

My mom had the day off for Veteran’s day and came over to go shopping. First, we got Pho for lunch. Fo sho.

Then, we hit up the stores for major shoe shopping. My mom needed new running shoes and she tried on a bunch. She decided on a pair of Mizunos – my favorite! I’m happy since I’m a  Mizunos girl all the way and I’m excited to hear how she liked them Smile (*Spoiler – I’m giving away Mizuno Running Shoes for POTM next week!!)

I needed shoes too… well, I use the word ‘needed’ loosely. But, even the girl checking me out said these were cute so I think it was a good choice.

    Didn’t make my activity goal for the day, but at least I ate wisely! Opted for a chicken salad at lunch instead of the cheeseburger and fries I really wanted. Win some and lose some.

    Is it crazy that I’ve never tried Pho? Hmmm I love soupnso maybe I oughta give it a try. Got 5 in today. Tried out a pair of adrenalines yesterday but they felt so heavy, so I am still searching for the perfect fit.

    PiYo and 30 minutes swim for me. I actually did 8 laps! Now if I can just do them all at once without stopping. At least I’m over my fear of crossing into the deep end!

    I walked with the cub scouts tonight. We did 3.29 miles! They were only supposed to do 3 miles. 🙂 I also told them we would do it under an hour! Which we did by 2 minutes! YA! We didn’t have much complaining either, but it was pretty darn cold!

    7K run on the treadmill… really hoping treadmill season is not already upon us here in Quebec, but did not want to race against the crazy cold wind today! This run brings my total to 53.9K since the beginning of the month 😉 I’m piling on the miles, indoors our out!!!! Whatever it takes!

    Rest day. Besides, the temperature has remained firmly in the 10s as Real Feel (and in the low 30s) all day so it’s not like I want to get out of the house and I have a deadline tomorrow. Sammy and Harry support Vegas’ idea of taking it easy… =)

    This morning I did a quick 2km warm up, then about 40min of weights. Oh, and we have a fire evacuation drill today at work, so I will be walking down 33 flights of stairs. I’m so counting that as part of my workout.

    I ran 3 miles this morning! Happy to be back out there, but my leg started twinging a bit somewhere in that third mile. I might have to take the rest of the week off.

    I’ve gotten through my weekly goal though! I’ve already run 7 miles this week, more than I anticipated. I’m hoping to increase my overall goal to 30 miles this month. We’ll see how it goes.

    This week is going good – partially thanks to the amazing weather here in Atlanta 🙂 I’m loving running in the cooler morning temps then having sunny and 70 in the afternoon! So far I’m ON TRACK to him my 100 miles running goal for the month. Also, my 14 pound doggie has increased his walks from .8 to 1 mile – LOL so I’m getting in the walking too.

    5 mile run DONE today

    LOVE your shoes and your pedicure looks nice too. I’m jealous!

    I did c25k last night! I started at week 3 and it went really well. I’ve got bootcamp tonight and I’m on day 3 of a 7 day MOvember challenge. I own this week 😉

    5 miles on the treadmill. I was aiming for a 2 mile walk too. I made it until mile 1.75 until my pregnant stomach had enough bouncing (side stitches), time to break out the belly band!

    Checking in: I got my 10k steps yesterday AND went to a barbell strength training class at the gym. I’m trying to get back to being a regular as I start training for my next marathon. Felt great! Up today 5 pace miles. I hate pace miles.

    I ended up only doing 5 miles yesterday because my watch died and I just can’t run without a watch! Today I am doing a circuit training class, I had an odd ankle pain after my run last night so I think a day off running is needed. This week I realized my POTM goal was completely unrealistic, I set a goal of 100 miles but I have never ran over 60 miles in a month before. So I an scaling back my goal to just get more than 60! I was so excited for POTM I got a little TOO ambitious!

    ran intervals on a curve treadmill last night for about 26min. have you heard of these treadmills? They’re a curved, flexible rubber platform that doesn’t require any plugins. You basically control your pace by how you’re positioned so it was pretty hard since there’s a lot of core control and concentration needed. Not to mention, it feels like you’re running up a hill the entire time!
    Looking forward to running close to 5-6 mi this afternoon followed by some core work.

    I will run in ice, snow, rain, whatever, without batting an eye. This morning at 3 AM, however, I woke up to 30+ mph winds. Nope! That’s my limit! Stayed in bed and got some well-needed rest today.
