Hello! So, while I was winning the cereal eating contest at General Mills there were some things I skipped over a bit – like the variety of milks they had on hand to bowl over our bowls. The Peanut Butter milk caught my eye and I asked about it. They said it was just milk and peanut butter mixed up in a blender. Boom!
I was very busy shoving cereal in my face so I actually didn’t try it though. #Fail
So, it’s been on my mind and I decided to make my own peanut butter milk. But I didn’t have peanut butter I just had almond butter. And like they say – make it work.
How to Make Almond Butter Milk…
Almond Butter Milk recipe: 1 cup milk, 2 tb almond butter. Blend x 3 times.
And since I had the almond butter milk I had to have the full experience…
I poured a bowl of cereal, added strawberries and created AB&J cereal.
This stuff is addictive!

Dinner was based on my very intense craving for rice. I kinda love rice.
And now I’m going to make another bowl of cereal…

you can actually make your own ‘almond milk’ by just blending almond butter and water! pour it over banana slices and blueberries (sprinkle with fax, chia. nuts etc) and you have a raw cereal 😉
Tricia @ MissSippiPiddlin says
I have almond milk as my sub for real milk but I so would love PB milk! Seeing I’m kinda a PB freak! 🙂

PB milk sounds awesome.
Cheri @ Overactive Blogger says
My husband drinks 2%, so we have that in our fridge. I tend to stay away from milk, something about it doesn’t strike me right, so if I do have a substitute, it’s usually vanilla almond milk.
Tedi @ Running with Infertility says
I use almond milk. It took some time to get used to. But it doesn’t make my tummy hurt. 🙂 chocolate almond milk is pretty good. 🙂
Angela @ HonestlyAngela says
Yum that almond butter milk sounds amazing! Right now I have 3.25% milk for my baby, skim milk for my husband, and almond milk for me. We are high maintenance when it comes to milk!
runeatrepeat says
All the bases covered!
Becky @ Ok, so here's the plan says
We have 1% milk and almond/coconut blended milk right now
Losing Lindy says
I had gotten blue apron last week and we made up a meal and it was AWFUL So I could go for cereal about now.
runeatrepeat says
Yeah?! I LOVED all my meals and my brother who is super picky liked them too. What did they send you?
Alisha @ Real Girl Running says
I think we have some oat milk, as well as some soy & almond milk.
I think peanut butter milk would make everything taste better!!
AdjustedReality says
I have coconut milk, 2% milk, and some half and half in my fridge to make various recipes. I don’t really drink it straight though! I’ve got some powdered PB here, I may have to try PB coconut milk!
Livi @ Eat, Pray, Work It Out says
OMG yes. bring all the almond butter milk right HERE please!
Emily says
How did I never think of that? Peanut Butter Milk will be becoming part of my own cereal life now.
Elena says
Vanilla Almond Milk. It probably would be amazing with Peanut Butter 🙂
Rachel Runs Music City says
I’ve got chocolate almond milk in my fridge right now! However, I’d love to combine almond milk and peanut butter. We’ll have to try it 🙂
Erin @ Erin's Inside Job says
That looks amazing! I am planning on making some cashew milk probably tomorrow. I finished it all before I left for CA and now that I am back I have cashews on my list so that I can make some more. I’ve been too lazy to make almond milk lately which doesn’t even make sense bc I don’t want to wait for the nuts to soak overnight and it’s not like I have anything to do w that. Oh well.
Wendy says
Kefir! That stuff is great! It’s a yogurt drink that is tart but has lots of protein and live cultures. I’m in love with the coconut chia flavor right now and I use it for my Kashi Go Lean cereal.
Liz@NovelRunner says
Peanut butter milk sounds like pure brilliance! The only thing that could top that would be chocolate peanut butter milk. Which I am making right now.
Linda @ TheFitty says
How simple and yet classic that recipe is–General mills sure has the imagination when it comes to breakfast. I’ve had peanut butter and jelly oatmeal bowls before but not cereal, and upon reading this title I thought you put PB and jelly in a bowl of cereal 😛
Flower says
I have skim milk and 2% and I drink whichever I crave. That really isn’t very often though, I’m not much of a milk girl…unless, you add chocolate. 🙂
Kayla says
Yum that sounds like its worth a try!
I use almond milk. I love super rich whole milk (my great grandma used to give me half and half as a glass of milk to drink) but I try to cut calories and fat where I can haha
Nicole @ Fitful Focus says
oh. my. goodness. That’s GENIUS! Looks like I have a weekend plan.
Ashley @ Saving Money in your Twenties says
I have 2% milk! I do love vanilla soy milk but dannnng it’s just so expensive.
Leslie @ Life Begins @ 30? says
PB milk and AB milk sound oddly good, but I’m not sure that I would like the texture. I’m not a cereal fan (gasp…I know!), so I only use milk in smoothies or rarely in coffee. I go with Almond Milk.
Shannon in Tustin says
Cashew milk is open (we don’t like it as much as almond milk) and it’s almost gone. Almond milk (unsweetened vanilla) is waiting in the wings to be loved again! I only buy Silk brand because they have eliminated that nasty, nasty carageenan ingredient…yuck.
Non-fat milk for my teenage son, who guzzles it like it is his JOB.
Jacqui says
I have cashew milk and unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I’ve mixed PB2 with almond milk in my cereal before to add protein, takes it to a whole new level 🙂
Stacy @ Sweating Tulipz says
I have unsweetened, 5 X Protein, Almond Milk. I absolutely love it and love knowing I’m getting extra protein while drinking it!
Peanut butter milk sounds like something I should just NEVER try since it is probably soooo very good! Yum!
Jojo @ Run Fast Eat Lots says
I drink either soy or almond milk. I’m going to my PB milk with soy and PB2 peanut butter powder
Jen @ Pretty Little Grub says
peanut butter milk! This just made me so happy. I never would have thought of that.
Nona @ RunningHigh says
I don’t know how I feel about the idea of peanut butter milk! I guess with the right thing, it has the potential! I may have to just give it a try!
Cassie @ Findley Fit says
I have nonfat milk right now…I HAVE to try making peanut butter milk, that sounds delicious!
Amanda - RunToThefinish says
why is it the smallest things can make me so happy?! but really peanut butter and cereal is kind of nirvana
Sally @ sweat out the small stuff says
I don’t have any substitute. I like 2percent milk. And half and half for my coffee. I have never been able to stomach nut, soy or rice mills….
I think Nutella milk might not be a bad idea though. Just swap out your almond butter. Mmm.
