Hello! Happy Friday / weekend / fun time!! I don’t know why but I have been super stressed and anxious all week. I took some Oasis and did some meditative breathing. I am not as big of a hippie as I’d like to be but I really am digging the breathing techniques I learned from a recent lecture I listened to from Integrative Nutrition. I’ve only done it a few times now but do really feel it relaxing me when I do.
I think the Oasis works in conjunction with relaxing and breathing and being in a good place. (Note: I wrote God place there, maybe that’s a hint for myself from my brain.)
This morning I hit the gym for a new-to-me class. At first I wasn’t sure about it but I think I really liked it and had a great workout! Boom.
But I am in trouble. I have my long run scheduled for tomorrow and am going to be sore .
Plus, I might have enjoyed a few too many margaritas. Bah! I am going to hate myself in the morning.
Post-workout:
Mid-day I threw together some pumpkin oatmeal cookies. I think I used too much pumpkin because they were super moist and kind of fell apart. But they were still delicious so I ate ‘em.
Now onto the night… The pad thing on my old eyelash curler fell off and instead of buying a replacement I thought I’d buy a new one all together. I decided on a fancy $10 eyelash curler. It promised extreme curl for your lashes so I was excited. Except, the shape is a little awkward and it’s hard to get the ends of my lashes in it. So I have to do two sets of lashes for each eye – inside and outside. And it doesn’t really work.
Moral of the story, the cheaper eyelash curler is better. Go with what you know works for things as important as eyelashes.
Fashion Tip: Get everything with ruching… dresses, tops, socks, chonies, rubber bands. Everything. It’s so flattering.
The night led to Shabu Shabu – have you had this? It’s where you cook the meat and veggies in boiling water. I liked it! I thought I had been to a place like this before, but my previous experience was a Korean BBQ where you cook on a grill. I really liked that meal too!
Shabu is super healthy, it’s just veggies and meat cooked in water and you get to dip it in sauces. I’d go again for sure.
Last night I may have enjoyed a few too many adult beverages because I fell asleep on the couch – head back, mouth wide open – the whole bit.
So, I stumbled to bed and am finishing up this post and publishing it first thing Friday morning with a slight headache. Now I’m off to RUN. Wish me luck – I’m going to need it!

I don’t know what I would do with out kbbq or shabu shabu aka hot pot. If you want to try something different you should try Korean Tofu. It’s so good & they also have Korean BBQ.

I agree sometimes buying things that are cheaper and knowing that they work is better then buying expensive stuff. For me its mascara, I always find that the cheaper ones work way better. I wont do cheap foundation though. Shabu Shabu is so good except at the end of dinner you smell like the food and that is not sexy, lol. I remember going home and even my bra smelled liked Shabu Shabu. Great read!

That dress and color is gorgeous on you! Rock it! It’s sad but true that just because it’s more expensive doesn’t make it better.

I LOVE Korean bbq. So dang good!! We don’t go to often, bc my boyfriend has gout so he can’t have that sort of food too often…. I haven’t been to shabu though, sounds delicious.
