Hello! How’s it going? I’m excited to talk to you about water today. I’m a big fan of H2O… yeah everyone needs it but my water bottle is like my safety blanket. As a runner hydration is very important to me. I’ve read being even slightly dehydrated can impact performance on a run! And I always say the day before race day it’s your job to rest and hydrate. Boom.

And I have something super interesting to share… PUR’s KnowYourWater.com website can give you a water report – based on your home address that shows what contaminants are in your water. I love this! I did the report for my address and my parents’ address.

Every time I fill up my water bottle at someone’s home I ask if they just drink tap water or if they have some sort of filtered water. Most of the time they base whether or not they use a filter on how the water tastes – but we should really check out what is in the water and make sure there are no harmful contaminants.

Ensuring the quality and safety of the water we consume is indeed crucial. https://airwaterice.com/collections/filters website provides a valuable resource for understanding the contaminants present in your tap water based on your home address. By accessing this information, you can make informed decisions about the need for a water filter to address specific contaminants and safeguard your health. Rather than solely relying on the taste of the water, it’s essential to be proactive and aware of potentially harmful substances that may be present. Taking the time to check the water report for your area can provide valuable insights and guide you in selecting the right water filter for your needs.

It also helps if a professional plumber in West Palm Beach, FL check your plumbing system from time to time to ensure that there are no damages that can affect water quality. If you have a water well at home that needs maintenance, this well services in Snohomish, WA can help you.

Also, if you need plumbing repair in Eastlake, WA, you may contact companies like hvac milford ma. You may also consider hiring this expert plumber in Santa Clara, CA or Epic Electric, Heating, Cooling & Plumbing. And if you’re from Denver, North Carolina, you may consider hiring these professional plumbing services in Denver, NC.

What?!! The levels of lead in my water versus parents surprised me. My water – 5.0 …. My parents’ water – 0.8. Not cool. So, this got me thinking if I needed to invest in a Reverse Osmosis System, which can be done by plumbers who provide plumbing repairs in Paupack or water filtration system installation in Tucson, AZ.

KnowYourWater.com pulls information from more than 98% of all public water systems, including those leading to homes, schools, businesses, hospitals, and more! All you have to do is put in your address – no email or other information required. So you can check your home, school, work, best friend’s place and anywhere else you drink (water) a lot.

Now I’m using the PUR Water filter on my faucet. I haven’t had one like this before and have just used the filtered pitchers in the past. This is super easy because the water comes filtered straight from the tap and the light system tells you when the filter is working with a green light and when you need to change it.

PUR is the #1 best-selling brand in lead filtration among filters certified to reduce lead. It’s a great way to get cleaner water and it’s certified to reduce over 70 contaminants, including 99% of lead, 96% of mercury and 92% of certain pesticides.

We have a well, so I knew I wouldn’t find specific data, but it also said nearby data was not available either 🙁 I will check back again in the future to see if they have new data though!

Ugh.. I know that lately I’ve noticed a really strong chlorine and now I see that there is a chemical by product from steel processing in the water as well.. thank you for this.

great post! Actually, I was convinced the water here gave me acne, and after I added a filer I saw a HUGE improvement in my skin tone, my blemishes definitely diminished, I mean you could tell the difference.

After 17 treatments our water still has a reading of 4 for lead, and our water comes from a well 41 miles from us and serves 6714 people.

I already knew mine was bad. I used a digital meter and the objective was to say at around 7 PPM. I was over 400! So no I wasn’t imagining that my tap water tasted nasty. I did enter my address, but my municipality didn’t submit info, so I got a N/A outcome.

I learned that my only contaminant is lead, and that we are below the county and state average, which is good news!

I think what scares me most is what is NOT reported… And the fact that the majority of the contaminants that ARE reported are lead/heavy metals! EEKS!

EEEk… My ppb was 6.3!!! Which is below the county average… but still disturbing. I’ve got lots of lead and even pesticides in my water. I usually use my tap water for making my tea and coffee, but will be stopping that immediately.
Having the PUR filtration system would be wonderful for my home since I am about to transition to a work from home job. I want to stay hydrated and healthy so I can crush the Chicago Marathon this October

I learned we have quite a bit of lead and heavy metals in our local tap water – which is not great! I also learned our water is treated 34 times, I assume each of these treatments is for a specific mineral or other product that might be in the water?

My lead was 1.2 with 8 contaminants. Our town just switched our water supply so I wonder if it is up to date?

I learned our lead level is 5.0 but only one contaminant was found. Pretty neat that you can put in any address so you can check when you are traveling too.
