Waking Up For Nothing

7 May

This morning my alarm went off at 5:40am. Boo. I drank a big ol’ iced coffee to ease the pain. IMG_0530 (600x800)

I’m still dreaming here…IMG_0533 (600x800)

I drove half asleep to meet my running group. Except today they weren’t running. Instead we had a clinic on lower body stretching. I’m not thrilled I woke up that early to NOT run and let’s just leave it at that.IMG_0543 (800x600)

At least the meeting location doesn’t suck SmileIMG_0545 (800x600)

IMG_0548 (800x600)

As soon as I got home I made pumpkin protein pancakes. IMG_0554 (800x600)

Why are pancakes so good?!?!?!IMG_0557 (800x600)

Last night Ben and I walked to a new Thai restaurant that just opened. We stopped along the way to smell the flowers Smile IMG_0502 (800x600)

You would never know it by the name of the restaurant “Jumbo Thai”, but this place offers brown rice and vegan dishes! IMG_0504 (800x600)They really should have contacted a focus group about that name…IMG_0525 (800x600)

My date.IMG_0507 (600x800)

Double fisting.IMG_0512 (800x600)

My dinner came with wontons and an eggroll. IMG_0514 (800x600)

I favored the soup over those appetizers.IMG_0516 (800x600)

We shared a salad with peanut sauce dressing. It was perfectly spicy and I loved it.IMG_0518 (800x600)

I ordered spicy eggplant with tofu and brown rice. IMG_0521 (800x600)IMG_0522 (800x600)

Ben got his fave, Pad Thai.IMG_0524 (800x600)

The walk home just happened to pass by a yogurt place. I couldn’t resist… My 5 week challenge is not going well. But, I’m back on track today – only 33 days left!!IMG_0527 (600x800)

Since my group run didn’t happen I’m hoping to get some exercise in with a walk and abs at some point today. And I’m going on record to say I’ll run at least 8 miles tomorrow.

Walking up early never seems to be worth it to me. Darn night owl tendencies. The fro-yo looks awesome!

Dang 5:40AM that really stinks!! The sounds of the ocean would have put me right back to sleep HAHA!! Oh yes and Pad Thai is one of my FAVS too! The sweet and nutty flavor is so awesome! Haven’t ventured into tasting tofu just yet but am tempted to for curiosities sake.

I wouldn’t be happy getting up that early for stretching either!

I’ve trying to remember HALT more, thanks for posting about that! So far today was a fail though – I’m sad, angry, loney and tired. And I’ve ate a swiss cake roll and cadbury creme egg (aside from my meals). I’m hoping doing some house work and a walk will make me feel better and get me back on track!
