Run Eat Repeat

Back to school

For the last year I have been considering going to grad school to further my career, I even took the GRE and filled out some applications. But after much thought I have decided to take some classes at a local community college to get more web knowledge – which is what I want more than anything right now. I’m back to school!monica ID

I made pumpkin oatmeal cookies for a football party we were going to yesterday. I pretty much followed the recipe and they didn’t come out that great. They were good, but not great – which is what I require in a cookie 🙂 I got the recipe from a book my aunt gave me when I visited CA. My cookies always come out too “cake-y”. Hmmmm.IMG_2273

But, I’ve still be eating them like nothing! I need to stay away from these now! IMG_2275

This morning I wanted to do something, but nothing to crazy – my legs were still tired from my 18 miler yesterday! I did 30 minute shred and called it a day.

I love weekend mornings because I have more time to cook up breakfast and make things I can’t have on a rushed weekend morning. I made an egg scramble, sandwich thin and a fruit salad. IMG_2281

I have been a cleaning and organizing machine today! Now I am off to the store for some organizing essentials like files and a book shelf. I’m excited 🙂

THIS IS YOUR YEAR.

I have the same problem with cookies! They are either too cakey, too gummy, or too burnt. I just have to accept that I am not a baker.

Congrats on your 18 miler! I am training for a 15K in December and I am trying to get my mileage up there but man, I am a huge wuss because running is hard!

Woo for grad school (although not gonna lie, this time of the semester sucks).

My cookies also always turn out too cakey! I have some in the oven right now (pumpkin oatmeal that I threw together). Too much egg maybe?

Congrats on going back to school!

Cookies are like sex, when they’re good they’re really good. When they’re bad they’re still pretty good. 😉
