Hello! How are you? This morning I am up and ready to do a little shake out run and spend a lot of time stretching again. I wasn’t sore at all after the Santa Clarita Marathon but I know I need to give myself time to rest and rebuild.

Also, I’m glad that it’s finally cooling off for Fall but… I’m also FREEZING right now and it’s 49 degrees.

      I just signed up and will be posting every day starting November 5th! It’s great to see some websites out there that are doing challenges like this! 🙂 Can’t wait to see what November brings. My goal is to walk 60 miles this month! We can all do it, it will just take time and patience.

      Lifted a little at the gym, then ran 4.5 miles and did some abs. And holy crap, today’s run was a million times better than yesterday! It was about the same distance, but felt so effortless… I felt like I could have just kept running forever!

      Checking in for my two-part goal:
      1/ Walk 10K steps daily – not fulfilled – my FitBit says I hit almost 7,000 steps, but I just got out of work after a 7am-10pm day, so I probably won’t hit the 10K!
      2/ Work out 4 days of the week. Still at 1/4!

      Today I did the stair climber for an hour, stretched, abs and some leg work. Have an appt with the orthopedist tomorrow. I think I pulled a calf muscle last week because my right calf cramped up mid-stride during a 5 mile run. Not fun. Have been taking it easy on running since then and then yesterday, BAM, ran 2.5 miles and ended up with a bruise running up the interior of my shin and my calf is swollen. GRRRRR
      Just got back my stride/time/mileage after being down for 4 weeks due to 5 broken ribs and now I may have a boot on my right foot. not happy.

      I was supposed to do 1.5 miles on the run, but my hip was bugging me. It was sore from trail running this weekend, and I have a trail race on Sat, so I decided to give it a break. I’ll do some yoga tonight and hopefully run a little tomorrow afternoon.

      It rained last night so I wasn’t able to get my 3-4 miles in.. BUT, I did do 60 squats and some arm exercises this morning before work.. AND- no rain in the forecast today so I’ll be running 2 miles before class. 🙂 I only get an hour in between work and class but 2 miles is better than 0…

      The company I work for is amazing and offers a free hour-long yoga class on Tuesday mornings, so I’m going to do that today and a light jog tonight!

      My car’s in the shop, so I walked to work. Unless I learn to fly sometime today, I shall also walk home from work. I may also walk to my boyfriend’s place later. This comes to a total of 5 miles of walking. Maybe I don’t need a car?

      It is so windy and rainy today that I just wanted to crawl back in to my bed and sleep until the sun came out again. But I’m guessing that will be April sometime and I just don’t have time for that. So instead I ran 5 miles. I’m thinking only runners can understand how a person can be hot and cold all at the same time. Or maybe that’s just me.

      Hiking in my happy place–Percy Warner Park! I’ll do a 2.5-mile or 7-mile trail hike with a friend. Then, depending on whether the rain stays away, I’ll run 11 on the roads in the same park. All my reflective/lighted gear is battery-operated, and I don’t want to be wearing electricity if it’s raining 🙂

      Well, my exercise was 30 minutes of playing chase with my dog at the park this morning.
      And I’ll be taking a 1 mile walk to and from my lunch meeting this afternoon. I should have been running 3 miles but the dog’s face convinced me to let him have his exercise.

      I went to CrossFit this morning. Push presses, power cleans, and three rounds of thrusters, deadlifts and 400m sprints. Plus I biked to and from the gym and am done with 1 of 3 dog walks of half a mile or more. Lots of incidental exercise.

      Started off my morning with a 3.1 mile run… After work, I’m going to do a little 45 minute circuit training / lifting routine. I’m going to attempt to run a mile before and a mile after, but it really depends on my energy level! Around 7 miles down… 93 miles to go!
