I Ran a Marathon with Brad Pitt?

Hey! I’ve been so busy I just realized there was a lot of fun stuff I wanted to share but kinda forgot. Like, the fact that I kinda sorta ran a marathon with Brad Pitt. Maybe.

Since this weekend was PB & jam packed with the race expo and 3 parties – oh, and running 26.2 miles, I didn’t tell you about the Santa Clarita Marathon & Half Marathon race expo!

Santa Clarita Marathon Half Marathon Expo

It was a small expo, but awesome for 3 reasons…

1. The bib pick up was easy peasy in and out. And the nice lady who gave me my bib carefully explained to me how to put the timing chip on my shoe which I thought was the cutest thing ever. And she was very serious about telling me “Good luck!!!”. I love it.

2. There was a wall to sign at the expo…

and apparently Brad Pitt was there!!! I think he just ran the half marathon though because I didn’t see him on the full course.

I was excited but I’m more of a Matt Damon girl.

3. The BJ’s Brewry booth was giving away FREE PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!!

    I can’t post everyday, but today I ran 4 miles. 7.8 miles total so far. Worked out every day this month too.

    I know I am a day late but wanted to post to be accountable… I ran about 1.75 miles today, my GPS was not working and only tracked me for .8 which I know was wrong. I am at a total of 4/50 miles! Woohoo… almost there! 😉

    When I was at the Guinness Factory in Dublin, I saw that Chester Bennington signed the wall. I wanted to track him down. 😛

    I ran about 3 miles yesterday and it was a gorgeous day!!

    I did a short back and biceps workout at my house after work Monday night. Didn’t get a run in since my hamstrings are still tight from my last run. Hoping to get a run in Tuesday

    After work I ran 5 miles last night and it was pret-ty chilly and a bit of a rough run. Averaged a 9:04 pace which isn’t my best. This morning I woke up at 5:30 and did my same route again, and shaved a solid 14 seconds off my average pace! Which was hard to believe because I felt like poo. I love running in the morning, even though it can be the hardest thing in the world to get out of bed. Now I can enjoy the rest of the day and go eat my weight in sushi and see Broad City Live in the evening without feeling too guilty.

    Did 2 miles through the cemetery with the basset hounds, they loved it, I loved it, they were again not allowed to eat any goose poop – I am the meanest ever!

    Went to crossfit today. WOD was 30-25-20-15-10-5
    wall balls (12 lbs)
    pushups (knees for middle reps)
    box jumps (20 inches)
    400 meter run between each

    5.5 treadmill miles today! Felt good, wish I could have gone longer but my tiny human was waiting for me to get home, and letsbehonest, he’s way more fun than treadmill time! 🙂

    10 miles yesterday, so today was a light-cross and strength-training day! 30 min. on the stairmaster and some weights (ugh). Enjoying the taper before my half marathon on Saturday!

    Very cool about your proximity to Brad Pitt…I didn’t know that he is runner. Makes me like him that much more : )

    Totally down with the Post-it note “gift card” used one on Halloween for the little neighbor girl since we missed her trick or treating and I had a little pack of Halloween Hello Kitty Jelly Belly(s)* for her. :o)
