Hello! My Mizuno Hitogami running shoes are way past retirement age, but I had had had to take them out for one last run before I got rid of them. Note: Yeah, I totally have a new pair – I just couldn’t part with them just yet.

Last night I went out for a little Sunday Funday. I had already been playing with my hair for a coming soon blog post so I figured I’d slap on some mascara and head out.

      No run today. I was in the gym for an a.m. workout instead: prisoner squats, chin-ups (PR of four in a set!), pull-ups, and close-grip press. I am already psyching myself up for tomorrow’s run with the promise of a paleo caramel latte after.

      I ran 2.5 miles this evening, right before dusk. As a novice runner (just started logging the miles this summer), this was my coldest run yet-33 degrees with a cool breeze added in. My run felt great, though. I am even more motivated to keep running outdoors this fall and winter!

      Ran 3 quick miles today. I was short on time and wanted to start working on my pace rather than mileage and ended up running all 3 miles under 8:30 pace!! I haven’t done that since last year! This tells me that I need to keep pushing it slowly work on my speed rather than just building on miles

      6 mile run on this fine morning, could be the last day for short sleeves and shorts for that matter. Temps are going to plummet with highs being in the low to mid 30s, its in the 50s today.

      I couldn’t bring myself to venture out in the 20 mph north wind from the polar vortex so I deep cleaned the bathrooms, did 4 loads of laundry, cleaned out the fridge (all the way) and did the dishes. Tonight I have plans to run in the basement – which is almost as bad as the treadmill – but not quite!

      I got in 90 minutes of hot yoga Saturday, 16 mile run Sunday, and a 30 minute circuit Monday! Today is a track workout. I LOVE Pro Compression socks too…they’re the best!

      I ran 4 miles yesterday and 4 on Saturday woo hoo! It had been almost a week of no running, which makes me sad 🙁 My knee and hip have been hurting so I was taking it easy.

      Day 1 of 3 days of walk,shuffle, trot, jog, run (I start counting Monday to Sunday) checked! 3 miles followed by cross training on the elliptical and abs crunches.
      BTW, love the wavy hair!

      3 mile run and upper body strength training. After running a marathon my body fat percentage went up…so I’m experimenting with lower amounts of cardio and higher amounts of strength training. We’ll see….

      I did a 12km run with 4 500m strides, plus one hour of upper body strength work yesterday and an 11km run today. I’m counting them both as successes though I just wasn’t feeling it today and found it a challenging run!

      Well, I did 8 mile trail run Sat, a 3 mile shakeout and yoga yesterday, and I was going to ride my stat bike trainer and lift today, but my waterheater exploded and flooded my basement (where the bike and the weights are). My sweet husband Lysol-ed the whole thing so we wouldn’t get mold growth as it dried out, but it’s too noxious to work out in. I am pretty antsy though, so I might do a GymRa workout or stream Jillian Michaels on Amazon Prime upstairs in a little bit.

      I ran 1.2 miles this morning to check in with how my leg/foot were feeling after my injury. I felt okay, but I can feel the tightness, and I don’t think I can go much farther than I did this morning. I’m feeling pretty discouraged.

      This morning I did Pilates! I didn’t do any running this weekend because my ankle is still bothering me. I did do some biking though. I tried Full Psycle which just opened in Chicago and it’s AMAZING!!

      Those are my favorite at the moment.

      But yes, I ran a half yesterday.
      So today I am taking a rest day.

      I have a pair of ascics that I love so much, they fit like a glove, but they have discontinued the line, so I am refusing to get rid of them until they absolutely look disgusting and I am embarrassed to wear them:/

We’re getting a decent snowfall today through tomorrow morning, and the highs are going to be in the mid to high 20’s all week so I have a feeling my workouts are going to be kept inside this week…

      Yesterday I struggled through 6 miles on the treadmill and then did 7 miles on the bike. Tonight is spin class night! For anyone looking for something entertaining to listen to, give Serial (A This American Life podcast) a listen! I’m on the second episode now and am hooked!!

      That dress is super hot! I did a 3 mile tempo run and some yoga and foam rolling yesterday and will do a 20 minute HIIT treadmill workout this afternoon – taking it easy after a realignment appointment last week for a muscle I pulled in my rib while coughing. Life is a dangerous sport.

      Since the Polar vortex isn’t here yet, I went for a 3 miler. I’m a dumbass and accidentally ended the 3-mile workout on my Nike+ app by 2.3 miles so I had to complete the .7 I had left as a second workout. But it’s done. Now, to work!
