StitchFix Fashion Blog Review #7

Alternate title: Redhead stylist for the win!!

stitchfix review 7 blog fashion update

I didn’t realize this was my 7th StitchFix delivery until I read the paper tucked inside the box! I never expected to keep this fun fashion delivery going this long – but I really dig it! Here is my StitchFix review for November…

First, I feel like my StitchFix fails in the past have been partly due to me not taking more time to make notes in my profile. I think it’s important to tell the stylist what you LOVE to wear, what you’d NOT wear and anything else that’s important to YOU beyond just the form you fill out.

All the fixes come with a note from the stylist. This one said that my person had red hair too – and you could totally tell she ‘gets it’ from the clothes she picked for me. The colors were spot on what works for me. Love.

how to style stitchfix (600x800)

1. Market and Spruce Colorblock Blouse ($58.00)

Let’s start with the Textured Blouse. Loved the colors – green and blue work for redheads. But I’m not in love with the cut – it really didn’t do anything for me. Sending it back.

2. Delphine Houndstooth Cordouroy Pant ($78.00)

I look the pictures inside because it was dark so you can’t see but the Houndstooth Corduroy Pant has a very cute design! I like that it’s different but not too flashy. Unfortunately, they are too long and I would start a fire with my thighs if I tried to wear corduroy. So there’s that…

3. Plaid Printed Tab-Sleeve Shirt ($48.00)

I like the Colibri Plaid Shirt, but I just bought a ton of flannels from Target so I already have something similar.

4. Valentina Beaded Trim Blouse ($64.00)

I said, “Yes.” out loud when I opened the box and saw this Valentina Beaded Trim Blouse. LOVE the green and trim on this! Sadly, I didn’t get a great picture of it, but I’m a fan.

5. Melody Cowl Neck dress ($58.00)

I didn’t expect to like the Melody Cowl Neck Dress because I’m not a fan of cowl neck – even though I kept another cowl neck dress from a few fixes ago! I should have put that in the notes!

But, I tried it on and totally loved it. It’s so comfortable, I love the color and it’s flattering. Boom. Also – it’s hard to tell the color in the pictures but it’s a great olive green. Keeping it.

stitchfix fashion blog review 2 (450x800) stitchfix fashion blog review 4 (450x800)

Overall: Super happy with my StitchFix Delivery this month! I’m keeping 2 and sending back 3, but there was nothing that I wouldn’t wear – just stuff I wasn’t super in love with for the price.

Question: What’s your favorite color to wear?

I love the olive dress! I couldn’t pick just one color that i love to wear. Right now I am liking creamy white, caramel brown and olive green. When I dyed my hair red I was all about blue and green.

I love maroon this time of the year. I find it doesn’t wash out my complexion and goes well with my hair.

I love purple and a deep blue! I also found that my stitch fix boxes got much better as I added more notes to my profile and was very clear about my likes and dislikes and gave detailed feedback about what I kept and what I sent back.

I love the 2 items you kept. That dress is so cute and flattering and the emerald shirt is adorable. I feel like it is a success if I can keep 2 things from each fix.

I got the same hound’s-tooth pants in my fix. I went back and forth but decided I’d never pick them out on my own and they fit me well so win. They had me pair it with a purple top and boom. Had me an outfit.

That dress is SUPER cute on you!

One thing about Stitchfix is I wish the same person would work with you the whole time! I know that’s a little unrealistic, but I feel like for how much you pay they could at least try, right? (I’m counting on you to drop this in the suggestion box the next time you’re at Stitchfix HQ by the way. 😉 )

I love deep, rich saturated blues, greens, reds, purples the best. I’m not a real big fan of pinks, oranges, or yellows (most look weird with my skin tone). Brown hair, medium-cool complexion.

I really like the plaid shirt! I’ve been looking for one like that 🙂

I have pale skin and find I need strong colours – I tend to go for oranges, pinks and greens. Pastels totally wash me out!

My favorite color to wear is royal blue because I have dark hair and am fair skinned.

That olive dress is beautiful, and I actually really like the color-block blouse, too. I’ve been curious about Stitch Fix and may just have to try it!

I love wearing all shades of purple and green especially olive green and eggplant purple. I have dark auburn hair (L’oreal Not natural 🙂 and hazel green eyes so those colors work super well.

Speaking of hair yours looks so good. I like the shorter than you wanted bangs 🙂 and I agree with ya on what you chose to keep. That dress! Boom pow 🙂
