Confession Thursday! It’s that time again… where I spill my guys on the internet and one of you calls CPS on me for being a bad cat mom (Cat Protection Services).
Confession…
I am either healthy as Fck or eat 4 donuts as a ‘snack’. There is no such thing as moderation in my life.
Vegas wanted to lick my plate after it was doused in Sriracha and I didn’t stop him.
“Let him learn.” – things Mexican mothers say.
He wasn’t hacking in that second picture I just caught him licking his furry lil lips. He liked it! #MexiCat
While I’m out here juggling my not-so-moderate eating habits and letting my cat Vegas live his best life with Sriracha-flavored plate licking, it’s important to remember that keeping our fur babies healthy goes beyond just snacks. That’s where mobile vets come into play!
These amazing professionals bring essential care right to your doorstep, so you don’t have to worry about stressing your pet out with a car ride to the clinic. From routine check-ups to vaccinations, mobile vets make it super easy to prioritize our pets’ health without disrupting their daily groove.
Plus, if you’re curious about all the services they offer, you can always Visit Site to learn more and book an appointment! So while I might be an “eat four donuts” kind of person, I’m all about making sure Vegas gets the best care possible, one tasty plate at a time!
When it comes to keeping our furry friends in top shape, providing them with the right mix of nutrients is key. Whether it’s finding the perfect diet to match their activity level or addressing specific health needs, a balanced approach is important for long-term well-being.
Proof he still loves me:
Confession… I have done NO Christmas shopping at all.
Confession…
Super last minute I changed plans with a friend because I had a “MUST HAVE SUSHI OR I AM GOING TO DIE’ kinda craving. The lighting in there was no bueno though…
The good news is – craving satisfied and I’m happy.
Confession…
I saved this Costco sample for later. Is that one step worse than taking food from a buffet?
Confession…
I had the worst run yesterday and cut it a few miles short, but I did see this cool flower so I have that going for me…
Confession…
I didn’t want to brave going up in the attic so I just bought a new space heater. I’m pretty excited to not be cold anymore and got a small ceramic heater like this which was fairly inexpensive.
This Bioaire heater is another good option for smaller spaces too and both are on sale. See, it’s on sale so it makes it okay, right??
Confession… that is the only confession I actually feel the slightest bit bad about.
Question: Don’t leave me out here hanging – what do you have to confess?
Nicole says
No dogs actually ate any chocolate in the making of this silly comment.
Nicole says
Confession:
CVS has had bags of the “Costco Sampler” on sale for months now. Pretty much as soon as Halloween ended. Which was way way too early for holiday stuff/drove me nuts. BUT since it just happens to be my absolute favorite chocolate (I’m not a sweet person…usually only crave savory stuff), I have given in and bought a bag almost every month *cough* week. I swear that I’m not the only one eating them! I have a boyfriend, two roommates, and two dogs. It wasn’t me!
Renee says
Monica, you are freaking hillarious and I love reading your blog. Confession: I also will be really sad if we don’t get to take a Jell-O shot together one day. I know a you’re going through some stuff right now, but keep doin whatcha do. You make so many people laugh and it totally relate to all your Mexican references #halfbreed XO
April says
Yep on that eating front: either super healthy or just f-it all and put cheese on it.
Confession: I am super, super not into Christmas this year. I am dragging/pushing myself through it all and going through the motions.
Sarah says
When CPS comes after you, don’t let them know I let my dog tackle my cat because it makes me laugh. They are about the same size and I know he isn’t hurting her, but she lets out this scream and I don’t know why she doesn’t just kick him off-she kicks me often when I go in for a hug and she has some major leg powers.
Christie says
we definitely share nutrition habits. ugh!
JenCanRead says
My dog constantly tried to steal our food, or lick a bowl errantly left on the table. If he accidentally gets sriracha or Franks Red Hot – that’s on him.
Sally @ sweat out the small stuff says
You crack me up! So now you have two space heaters and I have none. And I live in New York where it actually dips below freezing. Lol.
Confession: I wore the same pair of jeans two days in a row this week.
Cat @ Breakfast to Bed says
My cat growing up used to love taco bell hard tacos. She lived to be 19.
I think you’re good.
I think.
Angelica says
Confession: I just ordered a dozen tamales and am sad that I have to share them
Sue says
My last weekend for Xmas shopping! Actually just Sunday coz I’ve a wedding reception on Saturday. Can you tell I’m stressed?!?!
AJ @ NutriFitMama says
I am so with you on the moderation thing. EXACTLY!!
Elena says
confession – I’m kinda not as excited as I should be about visiting with certain family members for the holiday (we live out of state from family). And i get to drive 11 hours each way for it. BUT all my shopping is done and I got my kids bomb dignity gifts!
Ella says
Pretty much everything I love about your blog is captured in this post. Although I am an RD, I tend to be very healthy with pretty big splurges (“everything in moderation, including moderation” is my motto haha), I absolutely have the “let them learn” motto with my kids (like, if they fall a little bit and they’re not hurt, I often laugh, because they’re fine and they’re not hurt, does that make me a terrible mom?) And OF COURSE you should save the Costco sample for later! In my opinion, that shows willpower!
Kelly M says
I basically spent all of my extra money on myself because I have some sort of shopping sickness AND I was pretty gossipy at work today and I feel like a loser for it.
Carrie says
Truth: A student gave me a bag of homemade chocolate covered peanut clusters today…Confession: I am HORRIBLE at self-control and knew I would eat all 30 of them so I had 2, ran the rest of the bag under water and threw them away.
Ashley @ Saving Money in your Twenties says
UMMMM your eyeliner is uh-mazing. that is all 🙂
Brooke@runningonchange says
I dropped my bowl of chips on the floor and instead of pulling out the vacuum for the crumbs I called my dogs over to clean them up:).
Erica H says
Confession: I have fallen WAY hard off the diet wagon. But, that’s what New Year’s Resolutions are for, right?!
Confession: your kitty is adorable, and I briefly contemplated a cat-napping. Don’t worry, the thought was only fleeting.
Daisy @ Fit Wanderlust Runner says
Haha!! – “Let him learn.” My mother would always say that to me too. Definitely a Mexican mom saying!
Kate F says
OMG, I did the same thing to my cat two days ago! I had Frank’s hot sauce on grilled chicken and she took a lick. I also said, “let her learn.” She did NOT like it 🙂
Leslie @ Life Begins @ 30? says
Confession-I let my dog eat a quarter of an onion that I dropped on the kitchen floor one time. He seemed to like it!
Nora says
Confession: I’ve had the flu and been working from home to spare my coworkers but I’m definitely going for a run tonight.
Tricia @ A Couple of Dashes says
I’m the exact same way! Moderation isn’t in my eating vocabulary either!
Erin @ Erin's Inside Job says
I have also done zero Christmas shopping and dont really want to. We are in the middle of moving so everyone will understand, right? Right??
Annie says
Confession: this post made me infinitely better about myself because a. i have done zero shopping either and it takes about 2 weeks for mail to get from where i live to my family…#WorstAuntEver and b. the other day as i was scarfing down a bag of sweet chili doritos aka crack, i may or may not have let my cat eat a small piece and laughed hysterically as his gleeful eyes went wide and he licked his lips crazily. But then when he pawed the bag and cried for more I stopped laughing because I don’t share sweet chili doritos with anyone.
Angela @ North Idaho Runner says
My confession – I would not celebrate Christmas if I did not have children.
Elizabeth says
Confession: I only mailed out half my Christmas cards. The other half have been sitting in my purse addressed and stamped for three days, and I just haven’t gotten around to mailing them…
Flower says
Confession: I’m pretty sure I’m just gonna take a nap right in the middle of my work day and I’m so not sorry about it.
Becky @ Ok, so here's the plan says
I think this is the first year that I’ve not only gotten my Christmas shopping done on time, it’s all in the mail already too! It never happens, so I’m going to go ahead and gloat! 🙂
Confession – all I want to do today is watch tv and eat the eggnog cookies I made last night. I will probably get up and go for a run though. Probably.
AdjustedReality says
Confession: my brain is already on vacation even though I have 3.5 workdays left. I’m trying, but it’s an uphill battle.
My cat also doesn’t seem to mind slightly spicy stuff, as long as there is some sort of animal product with it. She won’t touch plants. Plants are yucky.
Linda @ TheFitty says
No, they cant because its all mine!
Becky @ Olives n Wine says
Confession – I do actually have all of my Christmas shopping done but I haven’t put anything in the mail yet so it is all going to be late, LOL.
runeatrepeat says
They’re never going to believe you bought it before Christmas 🙂
Wendy says
OMG, I put the same Costco sample in my purse to eat later haha!
runeatrepeat says
That makes me feel better 🙂
Angela @ HonestlyAngela says
I would change plans for sushi any day! Good luck on your Christmas shopping!
