Can Cats Eat Sriracha?

Fun· My Life

18 Dec

Confession Thursday! It’s that time again… where I spill my guys on the internet and one of you calls CPS on me for being a bad cat mom (Cat Protection Services).

confession thursday

Confession…

I am either healthy as Fck or eat 4 donuts as a ‘snack’. There is no such thing as moderation in my life.

healthy as fck (800x600)

Vegas wanted to lick my plate after it was doused in Sriracha and I didn’t stop him.

“Let him learn.” – things Mexican mothers say.

confession running blog cats eat sriracha (600x800)confession running blog can cats eat sriracha (600x800)

He wasn’t hacking in that second picture I just caught him licking his furry lil lips. He liked it! #MexiCat

While I’m out here juggling my not-so-moderate eating habits and letting my cat Vegas live his best life with Sriracha-flavored plate licking, it’s important to remember that keeping our fur babies healthy goes beyond just snacks. That’s where mobile vets come into play!

These amazing professionals bring essential care right to your doorstep, so you don’t have to worry about stressing your pet out with a car ride to the clinic. From routine check-ups to vaccinations, mobile vets make it super easy to prioritize our pets’ health without disrupting their daily groove.

Plus, if you’re curious about all the services they offer, you can always Visit Site to learn more and book an appointment! So while I might be an “eat four donuts” kind of person, I’m all about making sure Vegas gets the best care possible, one tasty plate at a time!

When it comes to keeping our furry friends in top shape, providing them with the right mix of nutrients is key. Whether it’s finding the perfect diet to match their activity level or addressing specific health needs, a balanced approach is important for long-term well-being.

For cats that are more active or need to gain a little weight, high calorie cat food can be a game-changer. Pairing a healthy diet with the convenience of mobile vet care ensures our pets get everything they need to thrive. After all, while we might indulge in donuts and spicy snacks, our cats deserve meals that are both delicious and designed just for them.

Proof he still loves me:

Confession… I have done NO Christmas shopping at all.

Confession…

Super last minute I changed plans with a friend because I had a “MUST HAVE SUSHI OR I AM GOING TO DIE’ kinda craving. The lighting in there was no bueno though…

confession thursday running blog eating sushi 2 (800x600)

The good news is – craving satisfied and I’m happy.

confession thursday running blog (450x800)

Confession…

I saved this Costco sample for later. Is that one step worse than taking food from a buffet?

confession thursday running blog eating candy at midnight (800x600)

Confession…

I had the worst run yesterday and cut it a few miles short, but I did see this cool flower so I have that going for me…

weird plant (600x800)

Confession…

I didn’t want to brave going up in the attic so I just bought a new space heater. I’m pretty excited to not be cold anymore and got a small ceramic heater like this which was fairly inexpensive.

This Bioaire heater is another good option for smaller spaces too and both are on sale. See, it’s on sale so it makes it okay, right??

Confession… that is the only confession I actually feel the slightest bit bad about.

Question: Don’t leave me out here hanging – what do you have to confess?

THIS IS YOUR YEAR.

      Confession:
CVS has had bags of the “Costco Sampler” on sale for months now. Pretty much as soon as Halloween ended. Which was way way too early for holiday stuff/drove me nuts. BUT since it just happens to be my absolute favorite chocolate (I’m not a sweet person…usually only crave savory stuff), I have given in and bought a bag almost every month *cough* week. I swear that I’m not the only one eating them! I have a boyfriend, two roommates, and two dogs. It wasn’t me!

Yep on that eating front: either super healthy or just f-it all and put cheese on it.

Confession: I am super, super not into Christmas this year. I am dragging/pushing myself through it all and going through the motions.

When CPS comes after you, don’t let them know I let my dog tackle my cat because it makes me laugh. They are about the same size and I know he isn’t hurting her, but she lets out this scream and I don’t know why she doesn’t just kick him off-she kicks me often when I go in for a hug and she has some major leg powers.

My dog constantly tried to steal our food, or lick a bowl errantly left on the table. If he accidentally gets sriracha or Franks Red Hot – that’s on him.

Pretty much everything I love about your blog is captured in this post. Although I am an RD, I tend to be very healthy with pretty big splurges (“everything in moderation, including moderation” is my motto haha), I absolutely have the “let them learn” motto with my kids (like, if they fall a little bit and they’re not hurt, I often laugh, because they’re fine and they’re not hurt, does that make me a terrible mom?) And OF COURSE you should save the Costco sample for later! In my opinion, that shows willpower!

Confession: this post made me infinitely better about myself because a. i have done zero shopping either and it takes about 2 weeks for mail to get from where i live to my family…#WorstAuntEver and b. the other day as i was scarfing down a bag of sweet chili doritos aka crack, i may or may not have let my cat eat a small piece and laughed hysterically as his gleeful eyes went wide and he licked his lips crazily. But then when he pawed the bag and cried for more I stopped laughing because I don’t share sweet chili doritos with anyone.

My cat also doesn’t seem to mind slightly spicy stuff, as long as there is some sort of animal product with it. She won’t touch plants. Plants are yucky.
