Hello! Happy Friday!! This week has been busy but in a great way. Vegas has been getting himself in trouble and I’ve been trying to get myself out of it.
I am the worst and was craving something salty for a midnight snack last night. Since I didn’t have anything ‘good’ like chips or crackers I had to settle for this frozen quinoa thing I had in the fridge. Seriously.
Today was a rest day so I kicked around the weights and took a nice long walk. I actually really do love doing strength workouts – I should make more time for it.
Some of my favorite girls met for lunch at Skinny Runner’s place and it turned out to be the best meal of the month. She is the best host and had a whole holiday spread out.
She even made these amazing Caramel Chocolate Chip Bars that were gooey and drool worthy.
The recipe was from a cookbook she has, but I found a similar one here. (If I get the OG recipe I’ll let ya know.)
Oh, and brownies. I love runner friends because they know how to eat (and bake obviously)!

OH MY GOSH that meal looks beyond delicious! I’m coming next time! hahaha
We made homemade chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting, chocolate crinkle cookies and bread dough which I made into hamburger (which ended up being slider size) as well as cinnamon rolls, which we haven’t tried yet.
Prob Jeni’s Ice Cream. It’s absurd at $13 a pint but it’s like a heavenly cream party in my mouth. Twss.
Brownies are my favorite, those look delicious! Runners are the best bakers!

Best thing eaten? I made brownies on Wendesday and put chopped up Mega Stuff Oreos in it. Holy yum! Next time I won’t chop up the cookies, but it’s such a winner. They’re already gone.
Peppermint pretzel slims from Trader Joes!!! Those actually didn’t make it home un-opened 🙂
I ate Chipolte twice in two days. That’s the best two things I’ve ate this week. 🙂
hmm… best thing I ate this week was a crockpot brisket my bf made for dinner… SO gooooood! But now I want those caramel chocolate chip bars 🙂
My BF and his friend came over the other night and made these tuna patties with random ingredients they found in my pantry. They were SO good.
I made a chocolate raspberry trifle a couple days ago and it was def the best thing I ate this week!!
Jalapeno poppers at a holiday party last night. SO good, and SO not good for you. Now I want more!

Ha! I know, I hope they really live up to ‘BEST EVER EVER EVER’ or I’m going to look dumb…
I just had these little salted caramel dark chocolate fudge bars that i got from Bed Bath and Beyond. They have that market inside called World Market and these bars were their brand. SO amazing!
I’m off for a walk myself. it’s 30 degrees here in NY but the sun is shining so i’ll take it.

Just about everything g I’ve eaten has been amazing this week. Vegas food is soon good! Not looking foforward to making my own food again. BOO!!
Is skinny runner’s a restaurant/cafe for runners? :O That’s so cool, I’ve never heard of anything like that before. How often do you take rest days?
I take two days off from running every week and try to do strength or stretching on those days.
Apples with biscoff, it is the best thing in the World! I promise.
I cannot have biscoff in the house – last time I ate the whole thing in 2 days.
