Best Gifts For Foodies

best gifts for food lovers foodies

I love food. Like lalalaLOVE it. But I don’t really consider myself a ‘foodie’ since I probably don’t discriminate between the fancy and the trashy enough. I do however know a few legit foodies and am still pretty obsessed with the topic in general. So, I have compiled a list of the best gifts for the food lovers in your life!

Best Gifts for Foodies:

1. Food! Unfortunately wrapping a ham sandwich and leaving it under the tree doesn’t make for the best holiday gift. (Don’t ask me how I know, but I know.)

Luckily, restaurant gift cards are a great option. Listen out for a place they want to try or get them a card for their favorite restaurant. I feel like the Cheesecake Factory is always a safe bet OR a gift card to their favorite local coffee place.

2. Food tees. A fun tee shirt with a food joke or theme makes me smile.

Food tee for guys or Legalize Sugar tee for kids.

Eat now Diet Later tee for girls. Or Keep Calm and Eat Cookies.

eat now diet later

Cold pizza for breakfast tee – not exactly a foodie’s dream meal but fun!

3. Menu Art. A friend recently redecorated their kitchen and hung antique menus from French restaurants on the walls. It looks super classy and still keeps with the kitchen theme.

4. A kitchen tool they don’t have / don’t want to buy for themselves.

Crab cracking tools – I actually got these for a friend last Christmas. She mentioned in passing that she didn’t have any ‘good’ cracking tools for crab and I remembered. When Christmas came around I bought these super awesome crackers and she loves them!

Spiralizer – make fun noodles out of veggies. This is on my list!

Stainless steel chopsticks <- I got my own chopsticks in China this year and LOVE having a ‘real’ set.

5. A fun subscription delivery.

Examples:

Golden State Fruit basket (38.49)

Wine of the month subscription. (149.00/4 months)

Beer of the month. (39.00)

Cheese of the month. (179.98/3 months)

Membership to a CSA.

6. Cookbook. Maybe something new-to-them like a Thai food recipe book or Vegan cookbook would be a nice change from their tried and true masterpieces of the kitchen!

Thug Kitchen Cookbook (Eat like you gift a F***)

SkinnyTaste Cookbook (LOVE Gina)

Sriracha Cookbook

Cupcakes and Cookies You Can Make and Bring To Me <- hopefully I’ll write this one day and people will deliver my own recipes to my home so I can eat them.

i dont share food[3]

7. Coupon to make them a fancy dinner or take them out for a meal. Bonus – you get to enjoy the delicious food too!

foodie gift certificate

8. Food ornament!! Last year Skinny Runner got me a watermelon ornament and it’s my favorite. Here are some other great options for people obsessed with a certain food (like me):

Pizza ornament

Taco ornament

Bacon ornament

Wine ornament

Donut ornament

9. A fun novelty gift of their favorite food!

I’ve seen the small Sriracha key chains all over the internet.

Donuts – Donut socks for girls / donut tee for guys or

Donut coffee mug

Chocolate – HUGE chocolate bar (seen them at TJ’s) / Chocolate framed art or this friend with chocolate sign

Bacon – Bacon t-shirt / Bacon key chain / I <3 Bacon sign

I like to give a Trader Joe’s gift card along with a little gift bag of my favorite TJs snacks (and a bottle of two buck chuck, OBVIOUSLY)

I’d rather someone just threw cash at me because we all know that I’d spend it on food anyway, but this way I could go to lots of places!

I’d want a gift card from a steak house. I always crave a good steak after a long run and fulfilling that craving is the best thing in the world! (Weirdly, I don’t really like steak any other time)

I’ve read that running burst blood vessels and stuff in the bottoms of our feet and runners should make sure they’re getting enough iron. I bet your body is really intuitive!

Ooooh, I would love a few giftcards to a few of the local places here in Naples. There are a ton of restaurants on the beach but they’re all super pricey so it would be nice to get a gift there!

    Cold pizza for breakfast! Yes!!!

I guess I would want a gift card to the Outback. I love their tangy tomato salad dressing. And the warm sweet bread and butter.

And if my favorite Mexican restaurant in manhattan gave gift cards I would want from there. Dos Caminos. They have the best guacamole which they make right at your table 😉
