Clean First, Chocolate Later Later

Dinner

FacebookTweetPin
16 Feb

I really wanted to go out and get some good chocolate this afternoon, but I realized I had more important things I wanted to accomplish today – like cleaning the tornado that is my apartment and school work. So, I was responsible and cleaned and am just now hitting the books. Well, actually right now right now I’m blogging – but I will do school stuff soon 😉 or later later

I had a big snack early in the afternoon – yogurt, fruit and cereal. Yes, I added more cereal because it was necessary, kinda.

And a few hours later I had some veggie crisps. With ketchup. Love.

I had no clue as to what to make for dinner so I decided to just throw a random pasta together. I used ww pasta, chickpeas, spinach, goat cheese (because I figured all mixed up I wouldn’t realize it sucks), and jarred sauce. I actually added the cheese because I figured I would have to add a bunch of cheese because that would be the only way Ben would eat it.

I ate it, cheese and all. But, later when he came home – he said he didn’t like it. He didn’t eat it. But, I did. WTF. I added the extra calories/ crappy goat cheese for him and he ate something else. So, I just threw it all away and now I’m mad. Was your dinner as pleasant as mine?

Don’t answer that…

Happy Presidents Day to someone who can't name more than five presidents

Can you name five presidents?
Let me try…

I win.

**Added Bonus: Who knows where my “right now right now” reference comes from???

Don’t you just hate it when people don’t appreciate the food you cook? I mean, they can be honest about not liking it. But I think they should still eat it anyway.

I guess I’m lucky … my husband will eat anything I make for him, but he will exclaim, “I’m not a *huge* fan …”, which drives me crazy, but at least he’s being honest. The other day I pureed some beans and mixed them in with the pasta – it gave the pasta an interesting texture and the husband was definitely NOT a fan of it. I loved it – I rarely eat pasta!

I know you were asking for readers to give you questions to answer, and I thought of one I know I’m late but i wanted to know how long do you plan on blogging? Do you see yourself 2 even 5 years from now still updating you readers about what you eat? Do you see a point where you will eventually stop

I feel like I know the “right now” reference, but it just won’t come to me. I hate when I cook and my husband covers it in ketchup, hot sauce, or BBQ Sauce.

Haha, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve made something a certain way because I thought my boyfriend would like it better, only to have him say he wished I hadn’t. Sometimes you just can’t win. That’s the only part that I find difficult about cooking for others, not always being in the mood for the same thing. Hope you got yourself some chocolate!!

A frozen hamburger patty from Costco – they are microwavable so he just nuked it and ate.

    Wow, Monica!
I hate when it happens – you cook something specially for someone, and then that person decides not to eat it! So unfair!
At least… Well, the pasta looked great to me! Hehe 😉

Sorry the hubby didn’t like it. My boyfriend is really picky about food and we don’t always agree on what to eat. I think I sacrifice a lot more than he does in the food department. Boys!!

I hate when I cook something for the hubby and he doesn’t like it. I also usually add extra fatty/calorie-loaded things for him. I think the hubbies need to be less picky….. 🙂
