Hello! I just got back from a fun lil day with my favorite Skinny Runner. She invited me over to eat all her Valentine’s Day candy. That’s either really nice or really mean of her… but I’m not one to turn down free food!
Remember when SR was the #1 best running blogger in the universe?
I do.
I keep asking her to come back from retirement but she says she’s very happy living in her active senior community playing bingo for quarters instead of dropping sick beats (or blog posts). Bah.
Anyway. I’m talking crazy because I’m still on a sugar high from all her candy. Thank you SR.
Before I attended that candy party I enjoyed another Freshly meal – the Greek Chicken Bowl, but I put it in a tortilla. Doesn’t it look fancy?!

Did you get a good amount of Valentine’s treats?
What races do you have coming up?

I’m impressed, I must say. Rarely do I encounter a
blog that’s equally educative and amusing, and without a doubt, you have hit the
nail on the head. The problem is something that not enough folks are speaking intelligently about.
I’m very happy that I found this during my hunt for something concerning this.

Thank you for the good writeup. It actually was once a
enjoyment account it. Look advanced to more introduced agreeable from you!
By the way, how could we keep in touch?

RnR is so crazy expensive, but I’m toying with the idea of doing the Seattle marathon on June 13. Maybe if you do it, I’ll be inspired to enter too 😉
Cheryl Benecke says
The full marathon has become my favorite distance although I’m doing my first 50k this coming Saturday (Feb 21). So who knows, maybe that will be my new favorite.

My next race is in May. It’s the Santa Barbara Wine Country Half, and my favorite race ever. Scenic country roads, medals that double as drink coasters, and they motivate you to finish with all the wine and beer they serve at the end. The best part is I live 2 miles away, so after I finish numbing my sore feet with all the booze I’ve consumed, I can just walk home.

Miss SR’s blog, also.

I actually have a race on March 1st up in the mountains. I should be concerned that I haven’t really trained for it but it is a downhill course with beautiful views so I am going to just take it easy during this one. As for RnRoll races I am planning on doing San Diego and San Antonio. Hopefully I get to see you in one of those! 🙂

I have so far signed up for 4 Rock N Roll races… San Diego, Chicago, San Jose, and Las Vegas. Contemplating Los Angeles too. I think that I am official say I have been sucked in by the Rock N Roll series.
Monica B @ Hot Mess Express says
You should review some races up here in Nor Cal. I’m still tackling half marathons (Woo, woo Livermore Half) but would love to see you write up some races up here. XO
runeatrepeat says
I’d love that too 🙂
Becky @ Ok, so here's the plan says
I got NO candy from anyone (other than myself!) which is really weird. I’ll be hitting up the post valentine’s candy sales though 😉
I’m running the West Point Half Marathon at the end of March. It’s sneaking up awfully quickly!
Hillary says
No candy for me (not a sweets gal), but eat all the chips and salsa!
Next race is RnR DC next month – woohoo! It’ll be my 10th half, and I’m going up with The Boy and a group of girlfriends. The other girls are running the 5k, but we’ll all partake in the partying (and brunch, my favorite after-party) later.
Stacy @ Sweating Tulipz says
Girl you are all about walking sticks lately! haha! No races for me, I wish! My favorite sports bras are VSX Sport. They are THE BEST! No Valentine’s Candy for me, but I did have some AWESOME dessert at dinner!
Erin @ Erin's Inside Job says
I signed up for the Chicago Spring Half Marathon so that is in May when hopefully it won’t be an arctic tundra outside. Thankfully we don’t have all the snow that goes along w it, but it’s still pretty cold here!
Kristin @ My Year in the Making says
I didn’t think I would be ready for a half by November, but I did some number crunching (while simultaneously doing some food crunching) and I totally will be. So I’m going to do the one in Savannah, and it’ll be my first Half ever! I’m so excited :))) Thanks for the discount code! I’ll be using it once I get my next paycheck.
Sally @ sweat out the small stuff says
I have a 10k trail run on Saturday. I haven’t run in almost 4 weeks so I don’t know what I am going to do.
I had lots of sweets this weekend. Chocolate dipped strawberries were the best.
Jojo @ Run Fast Eat Lots says
I got a mug full of dark chocolate 😛 I’m tempted to go out and buy more discounted candy
Jill @ Champagne for Everyday says
Do you find the target sports bras supportive enough during running? I buy the Moving Comfort Juno bra in one size too small – which straps you in like no tomorrow. I am paranoid about bounce!

1. I layer two at a time. (But I do that for 99% of brands just because I like it to be super pushed down.)
2. I’m an A cup. (Boo)
