Favorite Christmas Movie

Fun· Lunch

16 Dec

I can’t decide on my absolute favorite Christmas movie but my top ones include:

– Home Alone

– The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (Jim Carrey version)

– Elf

– Muppet’s Christmas

and…. Bridget Jones’s Diary! I saw this movie at a discount store for $5.00 the other day and had to have it! I plan on watching it later (with popcorn of course) as a reward for finishing up some school work that is pending. I don’t know if this officially counts as a “Christmas movie”, but it’s one to me!IMG_3272

Lunch came early today – I made a wrap and broccoli. Today I did the same thing as yesterday and also grabbed a hanful of baked Tostitos 🙂IMG_3268

Plus a pear, because I am craving fruit like crazy lately.IMG_3270

Question: What’s your favorite Christmas movie?

I LOVED “Four Christmases” last year – it’s too new to be a classic, but it was adorable. And “The Family Stone.” That one isn’t a classic “Christmas” movie, but it takes place initially at Christmastime and watching the family relationships is great.

I love Meet Me in St. Louis! I also have to watch White Chrismas and Holiday Inn every year. I guess I am a sucker for the classics.

I love xmas films in general… there’s something really comforting about them!

On a different note… pears are my all time favourite fruit!

Funny. I was thinking of Christmas movies to watch with my family. Bridget Jones is a good one. Have to think of more, though.

    Elf. No question. Elf.

I was actually just sitting at my computer, drinking, being a scrooge about my day. Wallowing in self-pity. And then…I read your post in my Google Reader, and thought: ok, Elf will totally cheer me up more than wine. So, I just threw Elf on, and I’m feel exponentially better. So thank you for that 🙂

Agreed, so hard to pick a favorite. Definitely have to do National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, A Christmas Story, Its a Wonderful Life and the original animated Grinch movie…. plus those other ones like Santa Clause is Coming to Town, Rudolph, etc. I have Tivo set to record them ALL! Need to watch Elf again, think I’ve only watched it once, but we did get it on DVD.

I don’t like watching movies over and over, but it’s probably Christmas Vacation b/c that’s what my husband has made me watch every night for the past two weeks. LOL

Mixed Nuts if my absolute favorite. it’s not a very typical movie but it’s hilarious. Have you seen it? It takes place in CA so you might have an appreciation for it, but it’s pretty goofy!

For some reason I think It’s a Wonderful Life is depressing 🙁 Even with a happy ending it makes me sad.

“The Miracle on 34th Street” The original movie is the best. You have to watch it. I am sure you will enjoy it. Especially if you like the older movies.
