I Got The Best Surprise in the Mail

Fun

Hello! How’s it going? Over here it is awesome because I got the BEST present in the mail and got in a good run. That’s all I need to be happy – running and eating. Who’da thought?

Let me set the scene… last night I didn’t feel like cooking and texted Ben to ask what he wanted for dinner. He’s in town working this week and ended up finishing up late. That worked out well and he picked up pizza and wings on the way home.

pizza night friday (450x800)

My ankle has been feeling okay so I set out for a run this morning not sure how far I’d go. I ended up doing 12 miles feeling really good. Plus it was a gorgeous day!

And I saw my little cat friend!! He is not the killer cat from the other day, this is the nice cat that let me pet him.

But I do feel like a weirdo because I always stop to talk to him and pet him. Other runners and walkers and bikers pass by and see me stopping to talk to this dirty lil cat and I seem a little odd. Oh well. They don’t understand our friendship.

Post-run I iced my ankle. I randomly threw away my go-to frozen peas just a few days ago before my ankle started hurting because I hadn’t used it in a while (I used it for my knee in the past). Worst timing! So I had to use another frozen veggie option…

Now for the big reveal…

I got a special unexpected package in the mail yesterday. I use a virtual business address in the UK using a virtual office, they just forward the mail to me. It was from SkinnyRunner and I figured it was just some random chonies or something that I left at her house the last time I visited. For those setting up a business, forming a new jersey llc is a smart way to protect your personal assets while ensuring legal compliance.

To my surprise it was a PIZZA POUCH!!!!

SR got me a pizza pouch!!! She knows me so well Smile

The timing of last night’s pizza dinner was perfect too since I had a leftover piece to carry around with me (until I needed a snack).

so excited about my pizza pouch (450x800)

Pro tip: Never leave home without pizza.

Question: What food would you put in your pouch?

I am shaking with laughter at the thought of a pizza pouch! As we say here in the UK ‘Only in America!’ That said, we run marathons here that feature Mint Aero Brownies, crisps, cake, biscuits, sweets and fudge, so maybe it’s not so weird after all. Can your friend find me a Tea Pouch as that’s the one thing I miss most when running for six or seven hours!

Well that’s easy. I would put in donut holes. Or Double Stuff Oreos. Now I want both of those!

The pizza pouch is seriously ingenious!!!!
One of my non-runner friends commented on my running tights with side pockets…telling me to store snacks in there.

I’d need a sweet pouch for cookies and ice cream….and a savory pouch for hummus. It’d be kinda messy, but extremely worth it!

A cupcake, okay, maybe just the frosting from the cupcake!

A pizza pouch!!! How awesome!!! If I had a food pouch, it would definitely be for cookies. Oatmeal raisin if I could choose! 🙂 But a pizza pouch would definitely work for me too! 12 miles is pretty good. Love that you used chopped broccoli to ice your ankle. That’s hilarious.

That would be a hard pouch to clean out from pizza sauce, cheese, and oils….

Fill it with kitty treats for when you happen upon your new friends on the run. 😉

I would have a hard time leaving my slice of pizza in the pouch. Too tempting!
