Run Eat Repeat

I like food a lot. I like a lot of food.

Dinner

27 Jan

Despite my heavy lunch I got hungry 2 hours later. Lame. So, I made some tacos.

PB&J Tacos to be exact. I took many mini pitas, heated them and slathered them in ridic amounts of peanut butter and jelly. Yeah I did.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Tacos

I wasn’t sure what to make for dinner. I had some thawed ground turkey that was supposed to be the main event and decided to make Shepherd’s Pie. The first time I had Shepherd’s Pie it was made with veggie ground crumbles so that totally works too.

Shepherd's Pie for dinner

One side with a little more cheese for Ben, cause he’s cheesy.

And the finished product: Shepherd’s pie in my favorite massive and unruly cast iron pan, that I love <3

I served it with salad because I like a lot of food. Also, I like food a lot. It’s not the same thing.

Shepherd's Pie

Ben insisted it was Wino Wednesday and I agreed. We got this light, fruity number from my mom. It’s just like I like it Winking smile

Wino Wednesday

For dessert I stole a bite of Ben’s Peanut Butter Snickers. Yeah we did. It’s good. There are two pieces in case you want to save one for later. You won’t.

Peanut Butter Snickers

I have not been sticking to my protein shake dessert this week Sad smile (Shocker after a Nutella filled night and now this.) I need to get re-motivated to clean up my snacks!

See ya in the morning!

Updated to add: A lot of people have been asking about the store with the cute lunch bags and knickknacks I went to this weekend. It was Heavenly Hostess in Old Town Orange.

I’m tragic at taking care of pans (my wok somehow got rusty?!), so I don’t think I’m doing it properly…

I like anything made in cast iron. And lots of it.

BTW, the Snickers commercial with the sharks doing a focus group on which attack victim tastes better is amazing.

I always look at that PB Snickers bar in the store. Was it as good as it looks? Shepards Pie is a good idea. Looks good!!

I just had a bite of the Snickers and it was good, but I prefer the Snickers dark chocolate 🙂

That shepherd’s pie looks good! Honestly, I don’t even know what shepherd’s pie is…

I do know what a pb&j taco is. And I know I’d like that. 🙂

Shepherd’s pie is just ground meat with corn and peas on the bottom, topped with mashed potatoes and cheese. I never had it growing up, but tried it at the Whole Foods salad bar one time and loved it! It’s easy to make veggie style too.

I’d like to meet one person in my life who doesn’t like food…a lot! 🙂 LoL. That snickers bar would be fantastic in an ice cream form. Wonder if they have thought of this yet.
