Hello! RER has been having technical difficulties so I don’t know if this post will work or if yesterday’s party post was available or what.
So, I’m going to:
A.) Stress about it and bug Ryan non-stop.
B.) Drink a glass of wine tequila and talk to my friend on the phone.
C.) Shut it down and finally follow my real calling to be a park ranger.
One of those.
Speaking of yesterday’s party…
I woke up like this:
Except it’s a fake tattoo. They had a little booth set up for the kids to get fake tats. I got this one and kinda really love it. Thoughts? I want another tattoo.
Remember my April Fool’s joke? I seriously want one now.
Walk Eat Repeat
This morning I started my day with a nice lil walk to Trader Joe’s for some essentials = Almond Butter.
I was thisclose to getting these Pumpkin Croutons but thought better of it since I know I’d just eat them all on the walk home. Darn it.
I spent the day trying to be responsible. It went okay.
I also cooked another delicious Blue Apron meal. Um, I was really proud of this one and wish I had someone over so I could pretend like I was a great cook!!
My sweet tooth let me know in no uncertain terms that I needed a treat tonight. I made my super easy healthy and not really a cookie because of those reasons Instant Oatmeal Cookies! (Pro tip: Add chocolate chips.)
I even stopped to smell the roses look at the flowers!
In other news… did you hear Honey Boo Boo was cancelled. I liked them. Boo.
Did you watch Honey Boo Boo? I kinda feel like they were really self accepting and I appreciate that. Yes, they would work to be healthier, but it’s refreshing not to be exposed to more females just obsessed with how they look. They had fun and were like ‘f it’.
Question: If this blog or park ranger thing falls through – what should I do with my life?!
Did you stop to look at the flowers this weekend?

I like the tattoo a lot! I got a wrist tattoo in that same spot after my Half Ironman and it says “endure” which is what I wrote on myself with a sharpie when I raced. I also have a wedding ring tattoo (just got it last year after 18 years of marriage) and an ankle tattoo I got when I was 25 (I’m 46 now). That is the only one I’m not wild about b/c it wasn’t really meaningful. None hurt that bad 🙂

I have 30+ tattoos (full sleeve and other’s elsewhere.) Just got the tops of my feet tattooed last week! Addicted… 🙂

What area hurts the most? Hurts the least??
KB says
The most-the elbow and ribcage. The least-the upper arm/bicep area

I heard the news about Boo Boo not five minutes before reading your blog! Can you believe it???? This is bonkers! I’m so stinkin’ sad about it 🙁
Also, yummy little meal you’ve got yourself there!

That dish looks great! Was it hard to make and do you have a recipe? Did Ben enjoy it? Always love reading your blog and all the various recipes & running advice you have to share 😉

The dinner does look amazing.
The old boyfriend Mama June is back with after he spent 10 years in prison for child molesting, yeah, well it was June’s own daughter that he molested … her 20 year old daughter came out and said it was her he molested when she was 8.
Honey Boo Boo’s dad needs to get full custody of her before that guy does something to her too.
I have watched the show a lot, and I know she loves her kids, so I just can’t understand how she could get back together with a guy who had molested her daughter. That’s sick.

Holy crap that is horrible 🙁

I thought about a small tattoo on my wrist for about two years before I pulled the trigger; my dumb younger self allowed the tattoo artist to talk me into “go big or go home” idea–don’t do it; get what you want and planned. If I had gotten my original design I probably would have been happy; but I got a slightly larger and very colorful tattoo that was a beacon for compliments (it was really, really pretty and well done). I was NOT expecting that I would become so upset with the constant attention (even though it was 99% positive…and some unexpected strong negative feelings from my family) and having to look at it myself constantly. Just something to think about when you get a visible tattoo. I eventually spent the money to get it removed, which thankfully I could afford (but is monster painful).

I was wondering why I couldn’t get to your page yesterday. I love my tattoo and have been wanting another one for quite sometime. I’ve been wanting something that ties in running and travel.

Blog troubles are so annoying! I still haven’t tried Blue Apron meals, but they sure always look delicious. And sadly, I never watched Honey Boo Boo either. Guess I’m really missing out! Hope you have a great week!
Sally @ sweat out the small stuff says
I’m still conjuring up the perfect marathon tattoo and won’t get it until I know I am 100 percent happy with the idea. I keep coming close. Eh. That fake love tat looks really nice in that spot.
You should start a talk show called The Monican! You would be a great host. I would DVR it not to miss a single episode.
I totally stopped to smell the flowers this weekend. My boyfriend took me up to Cape Cod for a romantic birthday weekend and he had flowers waiting in the room for me 🙂 he is a keeper 😉

Being a park ranger is a pretty fun job, I did a six month contract at a National park. But there are lots of bugs and rain and other unhappy things sometimes.
Becky @ Ok, so here's the plan says
Tattoos are fun! I have 6, 4 of which are decently big – and I want more 😀
I actually did yoga this weekend, it’s sort of like stopping to smell/see the roses. Same sentiment anyway.
Angela @ HonestlyAngela says
I have never seen honey Boo Boo! I guess now I probably never will! We have no flowers here- it is snowing. I did have a great weekend minus the cold I am fighting!
Ashley @ Kickashmom says
I also heard the honey boo boo rumors. Idk if they are true or not.
You should go for the tat. I love mine. Just make it meaningful!

you definitely need to try those pumpkin croutons… I bought them a couple of weeks ago and they’re amazing! definitely easy to eat too many however it’s easy enough to stop and after a while the taste gets to be too much- but they do have an amazing pumpkin flavor!

I loved Honey Boo Boo too and hate when I am hearing in the news about it.

love the idea of the tat!

I’m all about the tattoos, wanting to get another myself, but due to the job I am currently applying for I need to wait, what are you thinking? My tattooist has a saying, ‘go big or go home!’ I kinda like it
Aine @ Awkward Irish Girl Blogs says
What’s that Blue Apron meal, it looks so good!
I liked Honey Boo Boo & Co. too, they clearly had a lot of love for one another, which at the end of the day is the most important thing. I’d say they’re better off leaving the TV and getting on with their lives at this stage though, they’ve probably made enough money anyway as it is!
Alisha @ Real Girl Running says
I made time to play with my dog this weekend … does that count??
Your dinner looks amazing!! It would definitely impress anyone 🙂
Tricia @ A Couple of Dashes says
Are you having problems with your blog through the self hosted part of it? I am looking into switching over to self hosting myself and am trying to figure out the best service to use and how to go about it.
Brenda @ Don't Lose the Trail says
I am obsessed with that crunchy almond butter!
Re: Honey Boo Boo…I read that it got cancelled because Mama June is back together with her ex who was in jail for aggravated sexual assault on an 8 year old female family member of her’s….so I can definitely see why TLC pulled the plug. That’s some scary shit and I hope Mama June realizes she shouldn’t have this guy around her children.
