Run Eat Repeat

Is This Cat Curvy or Pregnant??

Hello! How’s it going? Today was an easy day from running so I hit the road for 6 miles and then did some 21 day fix – then my internet decided I could go F myself and stopped working. Thanks Al Gore. I restarted it and called my provider WHILE EATING POPCORN because that’s what you do when your internet breaks and you can’t workout.

Post-run and popcorn I had a green smoothie.

I have a lot of projects due this week and next so I’m super stressed about getting things done before I leave for my trip. I was super productive today but still have a pile o’ stuff to do.

I tried to postpone lunch so I could finish a blog post before taking a break. A little snack and Spark drink helped (as did a mini-Instagram break).

And in other important food news – Costco has been carrying this big jar of Nutzo for the longest. I wanted to buy it when I first saw it but it’s $16.99 and a little too expensive if I don’t end up liking it.

Well – they were sampling it yesterday so I got to try it without the $17 commitment. Boom.

running blog questions april 8 (460x613)

It is good but not as good as my favorite Trader Joe’s Almond Butter. So I didn’t get it.

running blog questions april 9 (460x613)

Okay let’s talk about this new cat issue. It’s not Vegas – as he’s a male.

running blog questions april 11 (460x613)

Two weeks ago I met this cat – I think I posted about him / her on my Instagram stories. He is super friendly and let me pet him – which is rare for random cats.

Well, I saw him/her again yesterday and he’s super friendly. It was hot so I gave him some water. I’m worried about him but he isn’t skinny.

I’m not making judgments on his body – he is beautiful just like this.

But I just made that observation because if he’s curvy – then he probably has a home or is at least being fed. Right?

If she’s pregnant then I need to figure out how to hide a pregnant cat in my 1 bedroom tiny place.

running blog questions april 10 (460x613)

The big question is – How can I tell if she is a curvy cat or a pregnant cat?

The second big question is – Do you want a cat?

THIS IS YOUR YEAR.

Since the cat is friendly, do you think next time you see the cat you might be able to look to see if it’s male or female? If you could look at it’s tummy, the nipples will enlarge and get pink/red if the cat is pregnant.
I had a random cat go into labor in some bushes by the road at my house. I was able to get her into my garage and into a box for her to have her kittens safely. It would be horrible if this is a homeless cat that is pregnant. Maybe you could take a can of cat food with you next time and offer it to her…. as well as more water., since if she is pregnant and homeless she isn’t getting enough calories for herself or her kittens.
If you do end up thinking she’s pregnant maybe you could drive over and try to get her into a carrier and take her home. Cats are only pregnant for just over 60 days….. so you would find out soon if there are kittens in there 🙂
If you take her home you could post some found cat posters up in that neighborhood for people to call and describe the cat, and that way you would be sure you weren’t mistakenly keeping a cat that does have owners. Please keep us all updated on the goings on with you and your new kitty friend.

I found a stray once an adopted her. I was worried she was pregnant. The vet said to look for this: Is the cat curvy all over or just in the middle? If you look at her from above (and she’s pregnant) her middle will be bigger. She might look a little swayback with a round tummy too.

My 15-year-old cat passed away last year and I’ve been wanting to adopt a new one ever since… and a puppy… and a whole farm full of animals who like to cuddle… but I should probably not do that in my 600-square-foot apartment just yet. Le sigh.

I’m sorry about your cat 🙁 That is so sad. You can borrow Vegas if you want.

Awww it will be so sweet of you if the cat is pregnant and you adopt her <3.
I think you should be able to notice "cat boobs" if she was a pregnant cat.

I would love to have a cat. I love cats so much. But I also love dogs, so I think I'd rather have a dog first.

Hmm not sure about how to tell if a kitty is preggers. I had a boy cat. Daryl was my cat for almost 21 years! But I got my dog Duncan after Daryl and now I think I’m more of a dog person.

My Costco has a Kirkland brand almond butter which is AMAZING! If yours has that, it’s worth it…and I think only $10 or $12.

SR told me it was just okay so I haven’t bought it – you like it? Now I want to try it!! I usually buy nut butter with salt so maybe I could just add it? (I know that one doesn’t have salt because I checked and double checked – I’m a weirdo)

Ditto. The Kirkland brand is amazing and cheaper too.
Costco also carries the Kirkland brand of almond milk (and it is cheaper by a $1) and it is the exact same thing as the Blue Diamond Almond Milk.

I could never buy nut butters in bulk. I’d just eat it all at once!
