Jesus is Knocking

Uncategorized

16 May

This morning I got a knock at the door (I work from home) and it was Jesus.

Okay, not really (but maybe).

A guy was passing out fancy laminated copies of the 10 Commandments. They were supposed to be for a donation, but I didn’t have cash and turned it down.

Apparently I look like someone who could really use a reminder though because he insisted. IMG_0896 (600x800)

The rest of the day was work eat repeat.

Other signs from above (or the internet) I got today…

From Women’s Health: Run Less to Lose Fat – fantastic timing as I’m off to run 22 miles this weekend.

New Balance is sponsoring our Reach the Beach team – “Off Balance”image

They also happen to sponsor Jenny Simpson. I met her briefly at the Endurance Live Awards and she’s a doll.

If this isn’t super inspiring, I don’t know what is…

Okay – so I’m headed off to Boston tonight on a red eye.

First I have to train 2 clients at the gym. Then, Ben is taking me to the airport straight from there.

I’m about to down a green smoothie and will probably pack a PB&J for dinner. I don’t know.IMG_0908 (800x600)

Hope I have everything!

That article did at least make me feel better about nearly dying as I did some hill running this morning for the first time in a while. Maybe I was burning some extra calories as I gasped for air.

    Have a great trip!!

Such a nice gesture from the person who handed you over the 10 Commandments.

Jesus seemed to be knocking in our neighborhood yesterday as well. But the dogs scared the kid away.

What if all the religious solicitors are actually angels sent from Jesus and people who say no thank you are put on the naughty list?

Wave “hi” to New Bedford for me when you’re driving or running down Faunce Corner Road, leg 32-33 exchange. And looks like leg 34 runs by UMass Dartmouth – my mom got her MA in Physics there, and my HS XC team would occasionally run workouts on the campus. Gotta say, I’m pretty envious right now that you get to run through my old hood.
