Music Monday–Desiree Davila

Hello and Happy Monday!

Since I did a run/bike combo yesterday and a 14 miler on Saturday I knew my legs were due for a rest. I took a little 2 mile walk to wake up and came home for the usual fare.IMG_6173 (800x533)

I pretty much avoided the computer all weekend so I have a lot of work to do today! Luckily, I realized Monday would be busy and I thawed some chicken last night. I dumped it in the crockpot and dinner tonight is done!IMG_6175 (800x533)

After breakfast I hit the pool for a few laps. I went to Pam’s master swim class, but did my own thing. I do need to work on form and drills, but I just wanted to swim 200 meters in a row to see how it felt. Well, it was hard! (Which only makes me realize how much I really need to work on form and breathing!!) But I did it. image

Women’s Health Magazine has a bunch of different playlists for workout motivation at that link.

Question: What’s your song of the day?

Wow, I love Desiree’s playlist! She and I have a lot of favorite artists in common.
My favorite song for the past couple months has been ‘Disparate Youth’ from Santigold. It’s got an awesome beat for running.

I’ve been struggling through a lot of my runs lately, but tonight I put on “Walk” by the Foo Fighters and kicked it into high gear. Something about that song got me so pumped up tonight–I listened to it on repeat for 2 miles!

Come to think of it, I didn’t listen to music at all today (weird), but I’ve been loving the song “Tongue Tied” lately!

Is it pathetically sad that I know none of the songs on her playlist?! do I need to get out more or listen to a specific radio station. Geez. maybe that’s what I need to get back my pace movin’ and groovin’.
