Old Stomping Grounds

Dessert· Dinner

I have grand plans for cooking tomorrow, but was not feeling like stepping into the kitchen to make dinner tonight. I considered forcing myself to make something, but I have been craving Thai Spice since we got back to Orange County.

Aaaand I really wanted a food reward for my long run and hard week, so we went for it…IMG_1494 Ben and I used to go here all the time when we were dating. It’s like our special place 🙂

He ordered a Thai Tea with boba in it. I stole some, like always.

I love bobas! It’s like a special chewy surprise when you get one (or two or three) in your straw. IMG_1500

I ordered Pad-Se-Yew with tofu, my usual. I want to try new things here, but tonight it was all about reminiscing about old times. The restaurant, Ben, this dinner – all of it reminded me of our fun dates that started here. IMG_1497

Restaurant tofu is so good – must be the fact that they fry it. So good. IMG_1498

After dinner we hit up another old usual place – Yogurtland. Irvine had the first Yogurtland around about two years ago. IMG_1515

And then I got the best news I’ve had all day – they have Pumpkin Pie flavor!!! And it’s really good.

I piled up the toppings which are still my favorite part of the self serve yogurt concept.

IMG_1516 Now Ben and I plan on breaking into his old apartment to “cuddle” and watch movies just like old times. If I’m not back to blogging in the morning someone come bail me out of jail.

Thai food is great. I’ve never tried those bubble teas/milkshake things though. Not sure I’d like it….

Okay, I don’t think there is anything that would make me more happy on this earth to see Pumpkin Pie Frozen Yogurt. I would have died.

How funny! My hubby and I have the same addiction – in that order – Thai Spice then the Yogurtland…when we moved to Costa Mesa we found next to each other ohhh the weight we gained together = what memories. : )

Hey, not sure where you are in CA, but have you tried Rutabegorz?

I spy Mother’s iced animal cookies! I LOVE those!
I’m glad you and Ben had a nice time together at your old stomping grounds. Sometimes it’s just really nice to remember the good old days.

I got that flavor last week at home, and I have to say, it’s one of the best pumpkin pie flavors I’ve had!
