Picky Picky

While I don’t think I’m a picky eater, I do think I’m a picker. Not a nose picker (well, sometimes), but  a food picker. I am always grabbing a bite of this or a handful of that. Needless to say much of this goes undocumented 🙁

My afternoon snacks were a handful of Kashi crackers (on sale at Target), a piece of raisin bread and PB out of the jar. Busted. Since I don’t have a time machine and can’t go back and take pics of all this “picks” you’re just going to have to take my word for it.

I’m such a good picker I was able to pick out all the chocolate covered raisins (and various other goodies) from this bag of trail mix. I’m a professional – don’t try this at home. IMG_3257

Lunch was a grilled cheese with carrots on the side. I also grabbed some baked chips and hummus after I took the pic. IMG_3248

My mid-morning snack was a delicious pear. This is the best fruit I’ve found around here in a month! For some reason the last apples and tangerines I bought were not good 🙁IMG_3247I’m currently sipping on red wine and discussing Russian composers with Ben. That, or drinking Silknog and reading blogs…

My latest Breathe post – I have been making an effort to eat at the table, with the TV and computer off. Do you have any distractions while you eat?

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

I still need mixed feelings on your iPad. I’d take pleasure in to try out around with anyone to draw a thorough conclusion.

I am a picker too. My mom calls it grazing. I used to be really bad about eating acutal meals because I would just eat a little at a time for the entire day.

I love trail mix. I like it when I can mix my own. My mom used to buy nuts by bulk from a Chinese store downtown and we’d make our own trail mix.

I always read blogs while I eat! It’s really bad but it seems like a good time to do so 🙂

I once bought my husband some individual packs of trail mix and then proceeded to eat all the chocolate (and peanut butter and white chocolate) chips out of them and then had to dump the rest in a ziploc bag. 😳

I’m a picker too. When I get trail mix form the bulk bin I make sure to get more “good stuff” than nuts.
PB tastes better straight form the jar.
